To address your points:
- We have a Community Forum to facilitate discussions on WvW/PVE/RP etc. Also DIS on our server has sponsored a 10,000 slot TC Public Mumble for the server to use; each guild can create it’s own private channels etc. with its own admin rights (very easy to link guild channels to WvW channels etc.)

- Presently our Oceanic presence is a timezone we do need guilds, hence you won’t face Q’s for e.g., however if a guild of your size was to transfer, you will be able to make a huge impact and make a name for yourself.

We have recently got [FIST] from IoJ which is Oceanic based, and [KH] from CD that is NA PST. Before that it has been a combination of some of our major WvW guilds (about 4), small WvW guilds, pugs (known as militia on TC), that have worked hand in hand to work our way into Tier 2.

-Tarnished Coast is the unofficial RP server, therefore our community is generally made up of more mature players. There is no drama on this server / no leadership struggles / no disagreements I can think of. (if you recently transferred to TC I hope you can help corroborate this point in your short experience with us so far)

- Blackout’s have been organized and followed (as seen on this thread: http://tcgw2.com/forums/viewtopic.php?id=323&p=1). One thing to note is that all servers are currently VERY HIGH (not full) due to we believe server caps being increased. Hence it would be an ideal time to transfer to TC.

- TC is mostly made up of NA based international guilds, however we do have a SEA guild (like SchuMidas posted above, Pro Baddies is Indonesian but has Malaysians and Singaporeans). There is about 15 Singaporeans that I play with regularly during our SEA primetime/late night. We’ve even been teaching some of our non-SG friends some Singlish

“Our server is perfect for you” – every server

We just recently moved to JQ and it’s been some of the most fun I’ve had in WvW since the game started. The server has been very welcoming with a really great sense of teamwork and community. Everyone so far has been great to work with and very supportive. Very active WvW community and I’ve had no issues with queues (e.g. if I have a queue it’s been NA primetime and has yet to be more than a few minutes).

Would be great to have you guys come on over. I know we had a teamspeak conversation with JQ before coming over and that helped a lot to convince us it was the right place to go. I recommend you talk to Noodles and do the same.

Take a look at Blackgate Server. If your looking to join a server to make an impact I think our server would suit you well. Let me ask you do you want to be in a server where your presence would be marginalized due to the massive amounts of guilds already there and in similar timezone? Or do you want to make a difference and be well known? We are a T1 server currently but most likely will go back to T2 as the end of free transfers has stacked the odds against us. We are dedicated and won’t fade away as our community is a tight knit one. Know that Blackgate Server was a T1 server before and got knocked back down and we came back to T1 again. We don’t let defeat keep us down nor does the community abandon the server with our first defeat in T1. Take a look at our recruitment thread.

Hi mate, my oceanic guild is on SoR, I just moved from Crystal Desert to join with then again (we scouted out many servers, as we were leaving SBI). SoR has strong WvW and PvE support, especially in oceanic time zones (the reason my guild went there). Anyhow, you are more than welcome to join us on SoR.

I have also had fun supporting you guys whenever I could. Thanks for continuing to fight even when we were severely outmanned and our guilds kept on fighting. With help from Val, CD is where it is now.

I would really prefer if Val didn’t leave. But if your heart is set on leaving, TC should be a good choice. I’d rather you join them than some server full of trolls. You and your guildmates deserve the best and I hope to see TC become Garnished Dessert!

We still haven’t reached a final decision yet. We are sad that we have to leave, but ultimately we want a great WvW environment. This week’s WvW in CD has just been very demoralising.

If you are an SG guild your 2 realistic choices are TC and SoS, haven’t seen many from SG elsewhere.

JQ – We’ve managed to hold our tier 1 WvW spot virtually since the start (we’d dropped to tier 2 only once early on, but most JQers seem to have short memories on the point). While we have had our strong guilds supporting us, I’ll be honest, it’s been the might and skill of our ‘disorganized pugs’ that have helped us stand out, and now we’re seeing an influx of guids that I can only expect will bring us above 2nd place.

Outside WvW we do strong, it’s not unusual to see most temples open at any point on a weekend, and even Balthazar spends a fair amount of time open.

We’ve BEEN doing blackouts to aid transfers, and been doing quite well at it to get people over, but with the recent bump in server caps, that may be a non-issue for a transfer over.

You are right when you say that WvW is not the entirety of the game, but it speaks some to what our players are made of. We’ve held on in tier 1 – we’ve got endurance. We’ve generally bin in 2nd spot – We don’t back down from challenges (the same challenges that have had the other Tier one servers drop off after a few weeks or a month). We’ve done this largely on our WvW pugs – Don’t get me wrong, we’ve had our WvW guilds all along, but they’ve lacked for manpower to field the single guild 40 man zergs that other servers have run with. Our individual players are generally self aware enough to know what to do in WvW to hold us in T1, and will gladly rally on competent commanders.

Me? I’m content to occasionally slay some invaders, and topple that evil Balth temple priest when the opportunity offers. And fractals, can’t forget the fractals (one of the few real challenges I’ve found in game)

I have to agree on this, if you really must go from your current server please dont join the top 2 server (sos & jq)
I dont know about what the others peoples thinking but for me personally having super stacked server will only kill the already dying WwW populations.

Rhongomyniad[PiNK], Theongreyjoy[TSL], Caught Littering[KH] we are all in different guilds and we normally run with our guilds during early morning/afternoon GMT+8. Although some NA guys stay up late to play with us but hor we’re often outmanned. SO SIAN! If you guys could come over and run together with 20-30 man with everyone from different guild we gonna be ai zai one. Not only that, heard about our great community right? I think all servers are “recruiting” and all will have the “best community” according to them. Go with what suits your needs. If your wanting a server with a strong oceanic presence then check out Kan, DB, Mag or any of the t2 and above servers will have that. Sadly because of such short notice your stuck with the community you go with so choose wisely!

DB is my home and I love it. We now have a server forum up and also have a mumble that many of our guild get on to communicate. We are (as most) a very welcoming server! GL with your decision!

All servers are not at full status right now. Transferring now is not a problem, the four servers you listed above will probably fill up faster.

I do not know what your opinions on Fort-Aspenwood are as currently its CD vs FA vs DB. However, I know from being one of the guilds that moved from IoJ to FA that we do have some coverage.

IoJ’s NA and Oceanic Guilds along with several others moved to FA itself. There aren’t long queue times and there is one reason why FA is actually good.

Its called Respect:

Something that I saw for the first time in playing in Five Different servers in WvW was a physical showing of respect.

When your guild is cruising around FA and EB, you can rest assured that you will not have to worry about losing all your hard work when you log off. There are players and groups in place who try to resupply keeps and defend the dolyaks, not just out of basic game mechanics, but out of the respect that we go through the typical timeslot cycle and the one thing I bring up and players have actually commented in some positive fashion without resistance…

Thats right, the next group of players that will take over. Passing the baton to the next crew as some overlap occurs for support.

We have oceanics in the server and many who are willing to help and support. You will have fun here. I am not lying to you when I say that getting along with many guilds can be a double-edged sword, since I don’t want to be a walking advertisement and want to be honest, as I am a guild leader who transferred into the server recently.

They were very nice in accepting us. They never said “Get out of the way” or “See how a real fight is handled” or “You lost in your server, accept your fate here” but the complete opposite. They let us come in, do what we love to do best…to cooperate and fight together, and we retained independence and autonomy.

There is a mix of experience on all levels here. If you feel that you want a little more honesty, a little more direction and the assurance that your work won’t go unnoticed or get cancelled out instantly as you leave, This server (FA) really is for you.

If you are worried about PvE, you can guest anywhere after the 28th ^^ so all is not lost.

I know that you are feeling the same as I am. The entire idea of losing your home and moving elsewhere. It makes me twitch at times because of memories. But its really the people I played with that make my memories and days happy. I’ve lost my server-home twice already and I’ve been welcomed with open arms to FA.

I have respect and high hopes for people here, win or lose. I also see that people are down to earth. We are worried about next week’s battle because we know we are facing better opponents. We aren’t saying “We are going to crush them from the start” but rather we are being mature about it. We want the fight to occur, now speaking from myself, I want each guild to be happy when they come in and happy when they come out…

You won’t be out there purely alone fending for yourself. Your guild won’t have to deal with attrition or with long queue times either. ^^

Also, if you need information, you can contact me in-game as well. It would be good so you won’t have to waste transfers shall you choose to go elsewhere. I just want to be honest with you as entire guilds transferring from one place to another is a big deal and as a leader of my guild to another, I feel communication is better handled from those undergoing the same transition as you.

As of today, we have not been made to feel inferior or belittled because we are transfers into the server. Rather we have been treated kindly here so far.

If you want a good oceanic server, go to Tarnished Coast.

I am a SG from Kaineng and I have to say that although there are SGers in Kaineng, there is no SG guild that I know of. Still we are probably the only server with a low enough population to accept large guild transfers and yet are still highly competitive in WvW. You can be the pioneer SG guild in Kaineng if you like and attract other SGers. There are lots of Taiwanese here though (and a large percentage are females…) due to the guild SoS and Koreans from WM. We can talk about the unfairness of National Service in our respective countries.

Great post Shira Rae. FA welcomes transfers from any server, even ones that are rivals.

FA has a great Oceanic presence, active community forums and teamspeak, no drama within the server, and will probably have no need for a blackout.

Hayden, if that’s the reason you’re thinking of leaving, would you reconsider? Remember the fun WvWs CD has had in the many weeks prior.

The community didn’t just change. We were never always #1, but we enjoyed great fights and learning from other servers we fought. Even when sieges took 4 hours, we continued on.

This week is an anomaly. CD was left to fight 2.5 servers, and rather than prolong the fight against near impossible odds – I think many felt the same and decided to just speed things along.

All those things you were looking for .. it’s already in CD, and I look forward to WvWing alongside you again!

All servers are not at full status right now. Transferring now is not a problem, the four servers you listed above will probably fill up faster.

Your more than welcome to merge into PUK on Gandara (EU).
We have a good backbone of WvWvW guilds on Gandara and are getting better everyday.
PUK is fully unlocked in regards the guilds bonuses ect, you don’t have to be crazy to be a member but it does help, just as long as your not lobotomized, we have to draw the line somewhere lol.
