Dear everyone who transfered off of your losing server onto the winning ones….stop crying. Here is a great idea. How about instead of everyone and their mother flocking to like 5 of the most winning server…you stick with your server?!?!?! /Gasp!

Dear anyone out there who iskitten at their long queue. Come to Northern Shiverpeaks! At anytime of the day I can INSTANTLY get into WvWvW. We could really use the help.

Just to add but this is the elephant in the room. This is the subject where everyone is doing backstrokes in an Egyptian river. Police yourselves and the queue will not police you. Spread out. So what if the other 300+ people in your alliance are on other servers. This will make the WvW scene much better. This is how you fix the queue problem.

I wish Anet would come out with an official statement like “Fill the empty servers and THEN we will talk about your queue issues”

It may just take that for some of these people to see it.

My guild is doing this we got 500 members with a second guild in the making and we wanted to WvW but on henge of denravi our que time was up to 4hrs so we transfering to Northern Shiverpeks its so we can have fun together whether the server is wining or not.

I would go to another server if not everyone of my real life mates played the server I am currently on. Think it’s the same for a lot of people.

This will probably change soon because the website is technically owned by someone at Team Legacy (Freelancer I think).

At this point I don’t think which needs help more really matters, both of our servers have ectremely small populations. We’d need ANet to clarify which server is worse off.

Kaineng has never been second place.

See it’s easy to just say it, and it’s easy to just transfer to a new server at character select. Actually knowing just how active a population a server has in WvW is another matter.

All servers are either high or medium population, so pick medium, and then what? I jumped a few servers on Sunday, queue times fantastic. Went back Monday, queue times atrocious.
Maps where the enemy has everything tend to have no players, but more balanced maps will be full, with hours of queue.

It’s easy to say “change server” I’ve tried it and making a good educated decision seems pretty impossible.

I want to transfer off, tbh, since the Q time takes a while. But at the same time, i dont want to lose every single match.
So its hard.

Truth, However, Organization is what wins in the end, IMO.
And without that, numbers wont matter.

Ill basically prob look for a decent server with great organization (keep pugs moving/active/with something to do, etc)

There are some guilds on our server that are operating well in the Eternal Battlegrounds. They are putting up a good fight daily now.

Just when it gets off prime there isnt anyone on to defend anything anymore.

See, thats what i DONT want. They need to (IMO) let overflow players/plyers in Queue waiting into servers like that to play.

I know while im waiting, id love to join a random server to help out., I doubt id even accept the Queue when it popped to go back to mine :p

Anyone that needed this thread to figureit out.. you probably want them crowding henge and not on your server anyway.

sounds more like whining to me, i didnt chose my server because of WvW i chose the one that my friends play on. and if we all move off of that server for another empty one then the that one becomes the empty one with ppl saying come back we are empty.

That’s fantastic. For Americans. All euro servers seems to have 30-60 minutes of queue at primetime.

I would happily transfer servers if our guild upgrades came with us. As of now my guild has been upgrading non-stop since day 1, and we’re on rank 2-3 of all categories of upgrades.

If Arenanet would allow us to transfer our guild upgrades we would move over to the lowest population server in a heartbeat!

I moved off a high pop server to Furgs Crossing. No queue times at all during peak time. Still enough players around to do stuff with.

I think this would solve a lot of problems with WvW. Many mid-size/small guilds actually worked quite hard to earn their upgrades. It is not fair that they should be the one transferring and losing their upgrades when their server gets swarmed by people who are transferring in.

Are server transfers still free? Been pondering one myself. Even if I’m not winning I still want to be able to get in, instead of waiting in the queue for three hours or more.

Queues were still free last I heard. I’ve been trying to spread the word and get people to balance out the populations before they end but most people care more about “winning” even if they have nothing to do with it since they don’t even get in lol

Cool, I might move. Need to find a nest for the long haul because I’m going to be playing this game for a long time. The ladder and time will sort most of this out over the next few months.

Kaineng is the one in the most NEED of people though.

This is the biggest issue in getting around transfers. I would love to transfer my guild off our current server in order to participate in more WvW. But we’re like you, upgrading since day 1.

Well Devona’s has had a few WvW guilds transfer there already and is in the process of building up nicely, though it’s a slow process and we still tend to lose everything in over-night.

Kaineng there is nothin wrong, it’s just THE lowest population server. We face them all the time and they never field enough numbers. People need to transfer there.

They need to make guild upgrades transfer. It sounds like a huge thing preventing a lot from transferring. Maybe I’ll start a thread on this topic specifically.

Think I’ve seen a couple of threads already about it. The issue appears to be that, like names, guilds are global and can exist across multiple servers. My own is on Crystal Desert, Desolation, with smaller detachments on a couple others. By making guilds global but keeping influence server specific, it lets different groups customize their upgrades for their own needs.

If they switch influence to global then what happens to all the multi-server guilds’ upgrades? Which takes precedence? Does Arena Net really flip the switch that splits multi-server guilds along server lines? I would miss talking to the all nighters in Europe. It is a problem but unless Arena Net changes the way guilds work, I don’t see an easy answer.

I would absolutely join a low-pop server’s WvW instead of (or while) waiting in queue.

I know it would throw off their server rankings, but a big part of the reason I’m on my Sorrow’s Furnace is because my GW1 guild moved there and I don’t want to not be able to PvE with them. Until we have word on Guesting, moving to a different server isn’t really a good option for me.
