I do not know how many millions of people are Reading this tonight, at home and at the work. I want to speak to all of you from the depths of my heart to the depths of yours. I believe that the entire Guild Wars 2 people has a passionate interest in what I have to say tonight. I will therefore speak with holy seriousness and openness, as the hour demands. The Gunnar’s people, raised, educated and disciplined by Hard Work & Grit, can bear the whole truth. It knows the gravity of the situation, and its leadership can therefore demand the necessary hard measures, yes even the hardest measures. We Gunnar’s Hold are armed against weakness and uncertainty. The blows and misfortunes of the war only give us additional strength, firm resolve, and a spiritual and fighting will to overcome all difficulties and obstacles with a revolutionary New Frontier for all.

We fight hard on G.H.
We might not win much overall in the high tiers due to nightcapping and morningcapping issues – but we don’t run away; we fight harder when we can be online and find our fun in what we can do. With small groups or large groups.
The WvW core remains strong, remains vigilant and remains fighting.

G.H. server is a good server in my book with a good community; and all we need are more like-minded folk who wants to fight hard and fair and have fun doing so, regardless of time-zones. There’s opportunity to be found.

To add, where we once had drama we now have harmony, our community is building and working together as never before. Thanks to Visko Bludhaven and [TSS] we have a 1000 slot mumble server and forum and the number of people using both mumble and the forum is growing daily as is the whole sense of community. WvW for us now is a genuinely fun experience.
We may not have great night time cover but rather than give up against the PvDoors servers we rise to the challenge. Where some servers see swathes of red/blue/green maps, we see opportunity, loot bags and badges.
Our focus is on PvP and playing well, points and ranks are meaningless peripherals and night capping is no substitute for ability as we have shown time and time again.
So, the question is – Are you up to the challenge?

Gunnars Hold has never had the population some other servers have. Often outnumbered, the Gunnars Hold fighters found themselves running with the outmanned buff more often then not.

Ever optimistic most of us responded with ‘great, more loot and no queues!’ it also led our server to draw closer together, outmanned but never outgunned. The server wide mumble drew in guilds wishing to cooperate.

From the largest guilds down to individual players Gunnars Hold Mumble gives all a place to tune in and be a part of server wide WvW, apart from giving a sound strategical advantage its a great place to socialise with our comrades in arms on the server.

Our server has attracted several guilds over the past weeks, there are still hours in which we are outmanned but the fight never truelly dies. The people currently fighting on Gunnars Hold have proven to carry on the fight despite the odds.

If your guild shares our mentallity we will welcome you to Gunnars Hold with open arms, we will not promise easy fights or a fast rise through the rank, we promise hard but fun fights alongside a great community!

A question that i bet at least some ppl are thinking about.
Are there WvW queus on GH and if so how long are they. Pls answer honestly, everything under 3h sounds good to me, so i can take it of you say 1h queu.
Also, im a midnight oil burner, si im interested to know if there is any late-night organized guild with voip i Can join in case i transfer to GH.

We have queues very rarely, I have to say, longest I’ve been in one was 20 mins tops.

Some very kind people on GH, have set up a mumble that people are welcome to use, makes for great tacticts and quite of bit of disturbing fun

ty for reply, i will check the webpage out, but because b4 7-day-transfer was announced i had trasferred to pve with a friend i will now have to w8 for next week, im sorry, ill be there when i have another transfer available ^^

As for the late night crew: the Gunnars Hold mumble has people active till late at night, since I dont stay on till early morning I dont know how active our mumble is then, but there definatly is a strong presence at night.

Frequent server wide WvW events also help boost numbers during nights. Our lack of queus has taught us to pay more attention to the distribution of numbers when we face more populous servers.

Unless server events – I only regularly experience a queue for EB.
Of the Borderlands – the home borderland (G.H. Borderland) will be the most likely to experience queues, but since after the first week or so – I’ve not sat in queue for longer than 20 min. for EB and less than that for the G.H. BL.

every Friday there is also a WvW meeting on Gunnars Hold where the past week is discussed and plans are made for the coming week. All players from Gunnars Hold are welcome.

It says a lot about our community that despite the large numbers that attend, the meetings are pleasant and informative.

moved to this server a couple weeks ago for several guild related reasons, really happy with the guys around and I’m not going anywhere any time soon!

I’m part of a small guild on Gunnars and despite flirting with another server for a few days (had an invite from a big guild there) I can honestly say Gunnars is now a truly awesome server. I don’t regret staying on Gunnars for a second.

This is mainly down to the hard work of a number of people there (mumble server and forum has already been mentioned but a big thanks should go to the dedication of some of the commanders too).

We fight hard but we fight fair, the core of the community are truly “good people”, if you are looking for a server to make your mark as an individual or with your guild there is no better place than Gunnars Hold.

Good guilds, strong commanders, excellent communication and players you can trust.

Low on drama, high on fun.

For more awesomeness we can inform we, after a long hard week with some great battles, won our our weekly match up in an entire month! Turning the tides and now moving forward! Well done everyone!

Good start to the new WvW week, Piken Square holds many old friends and enemies of Gunnars Hold(often the same people). Friendly tells were exchanged from both sides which was promptly followed by cheerfull attempts to stamp each others fighters into the ground.

Going to get some sleep, at this time Gunnars is leading but we have been losing ground. Can go all ways. Abbandons and Piken, see you on the battlefield.

Shout out to Gunnars new Commanders, you’ll be baptised by fire this week it seems. Slaughtererer, Im glad you saw sense and embraced the blue tag now. Please dont hold my contribution in that against me :-p

Moved to GH 15 days ago with some friends, in search of a good balance between queues during prime time and underpopulation in WvW. Found a great server: I was amazed at how hard the players fight, even when they are on the losing side.

Definitely the best server I’ve played on!

It would be awesome if we could get in touch with some US guilds to cover the late night/early morning shift…

@Bastion, i’m one of the PVP organizers of EPIC GUILD, and we are a small group of players dadicated to do our best, as far as i know we never logoff while downed, but i’ve seen that happening a lot lately. Besides i would like to remind you that is more than one [EPIC] arround. I’m quite sure that you are not mentioning my guildies cause 80% of the time we move in small groups of 5… not 15. Anyways, i’ll keep an eye on that.

I’d like to add that the game should really have a logoff countdown of 10~15 seconds to avoid that kind of action, cause i’m gettin’ tired of this too.

PS: to tell you the real truth, what i think it’s LAME is the fact that we worked sometimes 1h+ to get a orb, and they got reset 4~7 times /day by hacking. Thank god they are gone.

So last week we was fighting AM & AG & kitten was fun, we had some really close battles & a lot of laugh’s. End of the week score was so dam close, I take my hat off to both AM & AG.

@Mushy +1 to your post, this was one of the best WvW matches i’ve played.

@Aaron Warren: What I meant saying number 15, is that in total we’ve counted 15 unique ppl of EPIC guild who were logging off due to downed state(not in 1 group, but in 3-4 last days of our matchup).

And yes, hackers ruined scores completely.

This week we have PS & AM, so far we have had the same as always on the weekends (A slow start) & are about 10k behind, we should be able to catch that up over the week & push for the lead.

PS have some guild’s we know from the old days in WAR & as such we are both gunning for each other which has been grate fun so far, AM are also gunning for us & want payback for last week I feel & that has also been grate fun I take my hat off to both PS & AM so far.

here’s looking forward to a grate weeks WvW.

08:00 – 12:00 = No Que’s (We are able to field a team that can hold most of Gunnar’s Borderland leaving the other Borderlands & Eternal empty)

12:00 – 18:00 = No Que’s (As above)

18:00 – 00-00 = Que on Gunnar’s & EB (Around 20mins max) little or No Que’s on the other Borderlands. (On a good day we can fill two Borderlands & EB but that is all depending on Real life’s)

We are looking & need Guilds to help cover all the time zones shown above, so if you are from Eastern Europe, NA, EU, Asia, AUS & are looking for a more stable WvW with No Que’s & a Awesome Community then please go visit Gunnars-Hold.eu.

So this weeks Match has ended, PS & AM where grate fun to fight & we get to do it again for another week looking forward to the week ahead & hope it is as close as this weeks was for 2nd & 3rd place.

Would be nice to boost our Ranks & time coverage since we still have no Night or Morning Teams, if we had I’m sure our score would have been closer to that of PS than AM.

It was amazing tonight, overtaking AM in the last tick before reset. Gunnars Hold will prevail!

And it will be great to rematch this coming week.
