I just wanted to give you a kudos for your display of skill. The short 1v1 we had atop the wall at Greenvale (ET BL), was quite fun for me. Shame that the ET zerg had to keep complicating things.

^ This, Basically. Probably one of the most talented mesmers.

Mostly I enjoyed the stage changes during out battle: to the top of the wall, on the ground; making good use of Blink and Infiltrator’s Arrow to transverse up and down without running.

I Unfortunately for my ego dueled Seven a couple days ago. Downed in 15 seconds, I felt pretty bad.

A decently played shatter mesmer should actually be able to instagib dagger thieves that run dagger storm or thieves’ guild elites nine times out of ten.

Basilisk venom does change up those odds a bit and puts it solidly in the realm of reaction time for activating a stun breaker, but the basics are pretty simple.

Hang around near a white/yellow mob and wait for the backstab. Mirror images + decoy + instant mind wrack shatter for 4 procs will lump somewhere from 11-16k in damage onto most dagger build thieves, and the followup blurred frenzy should put out 5-9k in addition to the (comparatively) mild confusion damage from panic button skill activation. With all cooldowns ready, that instagib timer can be as low as 0.25 seconds. 15 was just because a couple skills were still on cooldown.

A shatter mesmer with the luxury of focusing all of his/her attention on a single target shouldn’t be very high on the target list for a thief to begin with; thieves are intended to pursue distracted targets of opportunity anyway.

Iunno – crazy as it sounds: I’d like to try this gent myself. Prolly get frigging gibbed, but it’d be worth the extra class-knowhow. (I main a Mesmer, myself.)

Threads like this always make me want to level my mesmer. then after about 10 mins I bang my head in frustration and play something else. Maybe they are a blast at end game but leveling one is about as boring as all get out. How many pink lasers can one class shoot?

Ya, that’s Seven Mirror. Easily the best player on the three servers. I want to say Andro was better, but he’s gone.
