I just got permission to post the events that happen when Commander Lee was in AFS. This is from my perspective and not other guild members or leaders. This explains the story of creation of AFS till Countess Lee Left.

AFS was an alliance between SOS guilds LYN & OWR. We create AFS and selected Grekkz, to be our commander. Countess was the first other commander in AFS. He lead us during off hours when Grekkz was off. As much as i hate him now, he is a true dedicated person that plays even during our off hours.

He did a lot of mistakes as a commander but that was understandable as we all have to learn. He started promoting AFS in SOS and recruiting people at the fly which was good but we started losing control of our members. He get angry when people do not turned up for WvW during our off hours. He made some silly decisions and was consulted with our Commander and Officers (I was a normal senior at that time so i didnt know what was the mistakes).

He tried to make a coup but in the end he left because of the glory and we stay because of the fun. AFS has never wanted any fame and just wanted to enjoy WvW but he made it so serious and in the end our guild and him had difference in opinion and he said some bad stuff about us through a mail and & STOLE our gold and left the guild swearing vengeance on any AFS he passes by in WvW. No members ever followed him to SOR&JQ.

You know there are times when he said angrily on TS that SOS is in X borderlands need all help during SEA hours. That just 15 of us being spawn camp by him and his stupid commanding.

This is my side of the story first hand handling with countess (or legendary Lee)

We didnt reveal his past to any EMP members because we do not want to bad mouth anyone since he has a credible reputation in the guild as a commander. But now he did the same thing he did to us, so i think it is right i share with you guys what happen.

There has been alot of hostility on this thread, both guilds are happy with where they are, yes there has been some major bumps along the way but people cannot expect everything to be the same all the time, I’m sure that DB will love having Red Essense and NS on their server and that JQ will be happy having EMP still running on their server.

In saying that there has certainly been people that have been targeted by this change yet they were not the only people to make this decision and unless you were in EMP or in that ts channel when they were discussing the change dont hate when you do not know the story.

I figured JQ WvWers thought more than one move ahead. Perhaps not. DB is slated for Tier 2 next week, against servers that trounced us on their way through T3. There will indeed be a challenge. Maybe not T1 skill-level challenge, but surely a numerical one.

Believe me, there is no more skill in T1, just numbers. Skill is much more apparent in T2 and T3 if you ask me.

I don’t think that WvW is appropriatedly designed to reward “skill”. No amount of beating parties 1v4, 10v40 or 20v80 will make up for a few player’s abilities to PvDoor the ppt through the roof while your server is asleep. I know of two ways to solve this, for interest’s sake:

1) Cap the number of players on each server maps to the numbers of players for the server that is the lowest. For instance, if there are 50 players from BG on JQBL, then JQ and SoR are capped to 50 player as well. This is obviously lame because one server’s downtime limits everyone else.

2) Make WvW available only through specific times, for instance, between 1200 and 2200 eastern. This would however limit foreign communitie’s ability to play and put servers with larger asian populations, for instance, in a bad situation.

These two ideas could make WvW more competitive, by limiting PvDoor downtime ppt kitten but it’d also go against the design idea of an everchanging world. Can’t have everything, though can we?

My point is, in the end, that coverage and server organisation > skill.

Well first off, i would like oxy to clear my name out in establishing that i never took a single gold from EMP guild bank when i made the decision to move to db through the logs, for the AFS accusation, yes i did took 20g out of the 100g that was in the guild bank during that time, i was the one who created the guild & bought drinks for a week influence buff which is 20g to kickstart AFS upgrades & hosting the guild website and teamspeak 3 server, (heck if i didnt keep pestering grekkz to go on with this idea, he would probably just stayed in LYN doing his malaysian alliance thingy) if taking 20g is considered stealing for you then to me its like a refund back for me for wasting time in a guild that doesn’t see eye to eye with me. Heck i even paid back all the afs members that i borrowed money from, ask roroall. And deadly shame on you for bringing a stuff that was months ago public just to take a lowblow on me & making it sound like i emptied 400g worth of gbank gold. I’ve placed the AFS chapter behind me few months ago after that encounter at bay.

And who’s to say if i left AFS without the 20g, you guys would have refund me, And this one time grekkz made me lose 15g cause he misspell a guys name who we were donating to, and i sponsored an ally of afs, cant remember his name, i’m fairly sure grekkz wouldnt deny this, i gave 50g for that ally for his commander tag from my own pocket cause i didnt want to waste AFS funds, would AFS refund me all those? NO cause apparently i’m the bad guy who is just intent on causing AFS destruction. Well i’m putting a fullstop here for this problem with AFS. Go ahead if you to post more stuff about me, only those who were with me know how things went.

Alright this smear campaign against Rawnoodles and the EMP which transfered needs to stop, who cares if he transfered from JQ we don’t need all this drama going public. Atleast he had the respect to rename a new guild knowing that many EMP are staying on JQ, i see this as more him creating a new guild on a different server which is completely legit. To those JQ which are dissapointed with the transfer think back on how SBI, SoS, CD, IoJ felt when you all transfered stop being hypocrits the fact remains that he has stated he transfered part of EMP to broaden the horizens this means starting new on a new frontier not vsing the same opponents every week but vsing a new dynamic opponents every week, it’s not about running away because their scared of TW or abandoning JQ because they don’t have the NA coverage it seems to be more about experiencing WvW without the massive zergfest and stagnation that is tier 1. Also those questioning why Dragonbrand, Why not Dragonbrand they are one of the most respectful and skilled opponents i have ever faced.

Could a moderator just remove the thread because it’s gotten more about personal attacks on members rather than officially stating a move.

The fact is, did i take gold from EMP? NO, you weren’t there when it happen, who are you to interfere in an another guild internal stuff. But now you have left EMP and so my story will not affect EMP what so ever.

I hope EMP stays in JQ and remains as a strong guild. All the best to EMP from AFS.

As a total outsider who has nothing to do with any of these guilds, I think this thread shows the members that are left of EMP and changes in leadership in a really good light. I wish you all every luck in recovering from these recent changes and coming back even stronger

I had fun today. Missed a few of the usual Asian emp crew, but atleast 70% of them were still there. If anything, this as made EMP stronger.

As prominent as Red Guard may be, they do not (Also should not) hold a monopoly on using the colour “Red” in guild names.

I don’t think enough JQers are assessing the situation realistically. Losing the both of them at the same time is going to hurt us in the long run.

Out of curiosity did the EMP and Co that left know that Waha was quitting the game beforehand? Cause if so, we know why they left and I guess a smart move if they were looking to leave while on top and create another competitive T1 server. Makes a lot more sense now.

Well, since you’re currently the only human being on earth spreading this (mis)information about you’ll have to accept a healthy dose of skepticism. If it were to be true, however, Waha has indeed earned a break and without doubt FOO will continue to be the force they are under a different pin.

Those guys are fun to watch or run with. They simply get it done.

I hope the rest of EMP sticks it out with JQ and continues kicking butt and doing good things. I wish those who left well, but in my opinion, the guild is better served without them. I’m close friends with some members of the guild (who I will not call out), and I’ve got to say that this ‘culling’ of sorts may end up with a stronger EMP than before.

Waha did not quit however there is a huge internal conflict between FOO and JQ’s NA guilds that many of the outsiders and majority JQ members do not know. Yes JQ is competitive but it becomes no longer fun. Many people call moving to DB is not competitive and challenging but I think it is a different challenge and competitive than Tier 1. Especially during na prime time there are more small fights than zergs vs zergs and also taking a break from tier 1. It is for the best of both side and I think outsiders should not make any accusation and statement regardless of they are legit or false because you do not know what really happen. That why I would kindly like to ask both outsiders and member of both side to step back and don’t make thing worse for both side. We are happy where we are and both side would like to regain their reputation and respect under our leadership.
