The culture weapon T3 for the sylvari dont show a proper preview, only the steem of it.

Well I want to know if I want the focus and dont wanna spend the karma to find out that it sucks.

So can someone plz show me a pic of it where it shows the entire focus.

Bump plz someone answer, really dont wanna wast karma if I not going to like it.

I think the main issue is that everyone is in the same boat. Especially with an item like a focus, it’s hard to imagine it based on the way the other weapons look, like the greatsword or axe. Eventually we will get in game pictures of all of them being used, but it’s probably going to be awhile. Best of luck.

The guildhead website put out an in browser model viewer for the weapons, and soon to be armor, section of their database. That said it doesn’t quite do these weapons justice because it doesn’t get the glass portion of the item correct but it will give you an idea of what it will look like.

Looks like a thorn whip with a crystal in the middle. I have the warden greatsword and the funky retro color on the model viewer turned out to be a blue glass like blade which I liked a lot.

If you guys want to see them in game, the small Nightmare Court outpost on the west side of Caledon Forest is an easy way to check them out. Just request to be given a disguise again and you can check out a good portion of the weapons on the npcs in the area.

Is there any way to buy T3 cultural weapons in the Black Lion Trading Co? Since you can buy the T2 weapons, I searched for the T3 weapons but didn’t find them…
( T2 = green dagger for example. I’m not sure about the name, I don’t know the english names. It’s the translation from german, but I hope you know which weapon I’m talking about )

Nope, the T3 weapons have a unique appearance and can only be bought from that vendor. I’ve got the greatsword and the rifle, they look great Probably get the shield next

T1 and T2 weapons aren’t unique skins, they’re found on other weapons in game (asura and sylvari T1 are the same skin I think)

Would anyone happen to have the hammer? Curious to see if it looks as good as the sword.

Cultural weapons match some of the drops that can be found in the game:

T1 = Glyphic, Krytan, Steam
T2 = Verdant, Auric, Flame

Asura and Sylvari share T1 and T2 weapon skins, although their T3s are unique. I know one of the Norn tiers is Shiverpeaks, but not which one.

Does anyone have a screenshot of the tier 3 longbow? I’m just wondering if the preview is missing out on anything. (GS looks awesome!)

Yeah, just got the bow the other day too, seems to be pretty accurate to the preview as opposed to the other T3 weps

Today, I bought the T3 Staff and I really like it.
So now we have pictures of the Greatsword, the Longbow, the Hammer and the Staff. Maybe we can collect pictures of the other weapons, too.

Here’s a shot of the axe and torch. I was a little disappointed in the torch when I found out it doesn’t actually burn. But as long as it gives off enough light to see by, I suppose I can live with it.

I still want to know why the warden torch doesn’t burn. The icon clearly shows a burning torch. I really want to like the warden torch…but it just doesn’t feel like a torch.

It’s a shame too…there’s no other torch that really pairs well with the warden axe…looks like that’s 126,000 karma wasted.

It doesn’t burn because it’s a plant… it would look silly with fire coming out of a plant based weapon. I guess they could make the glow more luminescent.

Because realism matters in a game where your character can swing a sword the size of a school bus and throw fireballs and lightning bolts. The verdant torch doesn’t exactly “burn” but it glows much brighter, despite looking like a plastic toy.

Regular torches are made from wood. Cloth is made from plant fibers.

Trolls aside …. like I said they could make it more luminescent, any form of flame would just be ridiculous.

Pistol

Was hoping it would have more glassy parts. Just a few crystals at the top and one big one hidden inside the pistol butt that you’ll never see.

yep, essentially. if you want large blue crystal parts, look elsewhere

Where do you buy the cultural weapons? I can’t find the vendor anywhere

the Grove, i think top or middle floor has them
they show up on the map as swords, but are labelled karma vendors or something

The preview of these weapons suck. Just bought the sword and it was actually quite stunning in my Sylvaris hand

For so long I held off on buying any of the T3 weapons, since their previews looked so poor. But the images in this thread convinced me to pick up the greatsword and hammer for my guardian, and they do look fantastic! The bluish crystal that features prominently is somewhat transparent and reflective, and light plays off it in interesting ways. I’ll be picking up the sword and shield as soon as I can afford the karma. (I transform them on to exotic weapons I crafted or bought.)

Any shots of the staff or focus would be much appreciated.
