I’m very curious; why does the Snapdragon armor have these all these orange bits on every armor that can’t be dyed? I love the armor, but it’s hard to REALLY love it because I feel like I’m getting pigeonholed into certain dye schemes for the sake of not having the undyeable bits stand out.

That’s dependent on your character’s skin color. I actually like it, because it makes your armor look like it’s growing out of you, but I understand why it frustrates some.

Like the person above stated, it has to do with the color of your character’s skin. Here are some examples using my characters. There are parts of the cultural armor that stay a slightly darker color than the skin tone you picked, no matter what color you choose to dye your armor.

The idea is that Sylvari ‘grow’ their own armor…it is a part of them…so you have to work with your skin tones in the armor.

I think it is actually a really cool effect when people use it properly! It’s too bad more people don’t know about it while making their character.

If you really hate the orange bits you can always use a makeover kit and change your characters’ skin tone to something that will go more with the colors you want to use

Skintone-related colors, eh? That explains why my cultural armor has green bits no matter what, since my Sylvari is green. Though green looks natural for a plant armor, so it doesn’t really bother me at all.
