Hello, I just wanted to add my 2 cents on this issue. I got my account hacked on April 25, 2014. Sent in a ticket and got access to my account back within a few hours. Then i logged in and of course everything was gone gems, gold, laruels, gear… ect. As of today, May 1 nothing has been done and i am surprised it has been so long without a response. Yesterday i put in a request for a ticket refresh but i do not see my ticket number in the review list. I know I am not the only one that has this problem. Why is it taking so long?? I just want to play.

Have you got any automated response it took a day for my first one then a few more for for any others took 7 days before the restore process started

Did you update your original ticket and request an Account Restoration? It is unclear from your post. You would need to do so, as Account Restorations are not automatic.

Turns out I was also hacked on the 25th (support ticket 575678), but it was the 30th before I got my account back, it has been completely cleaned out (right down to them taking my actual inventory bags and deleting all my ingame mail for whatever reason) I have emailed support twice now asking about an account rollback but have had no response as of yet. Can anyone let me know what you have experienced in regards to this. This account has been active since beta and I just don’t really think I could start over at this point.

Rollbacks take time. There’s no easy 1-click button for Anet to hit when you want all your stuff back. Give it time mate.

In Anets defense, they have to thoroughly investigate each player to make sure it’s legit, which I appreciate. I personally don’t like the idea of say someone conveniently leaving their computer on and their little bro comes along siphons all the items to their account then you scream foul. You get your account rolled back with all your stuff, while your bro may get away with it.

Things shouldn’t be that easy. While I don’t agree with their 1 rollback as I’m guessing most people don’t have enough stuff to make a difference in the economy to begin with, I do believe the steps taken to roll back someones account must be vigilant.

We are sorry if your account restoration is taking extra time, but the depth of investigation for these situations is time-consuming and requires great care. Imagine a bunch of people claiming they got “hacked” and asking for a restoration, but only after they shuttled off thousands of items and gems. Their request, if honored, essentially “dupes” the items on their account and that’s harmful to all players, because it can cause in-game inflation.

Please be patient while the process is undertaken. We will help you to the best of our ability, while exercising care about the game as a whole.
