Can't Log in.
Have the same problem.
Same problem, just had to restart my router (figured it would change the IP, which it did) then reauthorize my account. I can now get to the character screen but can’t get past that.

Scratch that, can’t log in anymore. At a guess if I shut down my browser I won’t be able to get onto the forums either.

yup this is messed up , cant even log back in and have kitten trouble login in to my account , looks like anet messed up more then they fixed with the latest updates its getting worse after a every new update the last month

I can login but now I’m getting MASSIVE lag while in game with occasional disconnects. My guildies experiencing the same thing. Everyone’s just rubber banding all over the place.

Having the same problem also….there has been HORRENDOUS lag on Viznuah Square for about the past month to the point where I’m getting disconnected frequently from the server.
Now, I’m sitting here for about 15 minutes and constantly getting the “the game client is unable to gain access to the log-in server at this time.” Have already rebooted my router, to no avail.
I haven’t had one tenth of this amount of lag since the game launch. Very disappointing A Net.
Same problem, managed to log in to the ch-screen and got thrown out of the game. Now I can’t even log in. Guessed it was some maintenance of the servers, but no such news on the site.
Guess we’ll just have to wait and see.
finaly managed to log in , but there it ends , says im not in a guild ( im the guildleader ) can see the guild list but assoon as i try to say something in guild it says im not in a guild.
cant do anything online but stand there , way to go anet.
Can we get a heads up on this ANet? While we’re only a few people posting here many maybe can’t log onto the forums and post about it.
ISP problem? Traffic being blocked somewhere?

I logged in after many attempts just to get stuck on the character screen and automatically sent back to the launcher.
I’m able to login, but it honestly isn’t even worth it, the game lags way too much to be playable, I can’t even kill a single enemy due to lag, and the Black Lion Trading Company gives a 502 error…
I’m still experiencing this problem. I bought the game three days ago and after installation and everything, I haven’t even been able to play it. Quite frustrating, the company acknowledged there’s an issue on there end.
Anyone have any idea whether this is on account of the Denial of Service attacks that have become the norm these days? It’s probably because companies that encourage paedophilia like CyberBunker are going to see top executives hung by their balls.
Still, I’d like to know when I can play this game. Patience kind of running thin, lol

OK, other people are playing, why can’t I? It seems to me that a lot of people who just bought the game in the last few days are experiencing the problem. What are we supposed to do? Ask for a refund?

If you can’t log in but you want to play the game, put in a support ticket and give them your account user name (but not your account password) and explain the details. You might also want to include your serial number to speed things up as they might ask for it.
If you want a refund, you’ll have to put in a support ticket anyway.
But I suggest taking the first option. It really is a gorgeous and engaging game.
Try basic troubleshooting:
1) Turn off router for 30 seconds, then power back on. If you have a router AND Modem turn router off first, then turn off modem, wait 30 seconds, turn on modem, wait 5 seconds, turn on router.
2) Clear your internet history, cache, cookies.
3) Run a virus scan with malewarebytes make sure you dont have any type of virus that messes with internet usage.
4) Make sure your anti virus program is not blocking the connection with its firewall. AVG 2013 free is known to do that to many games.
5) Reboot your computer.
If none of those work create a support ticket with the error code and take it from there and let them know you performed all those steps.
