Okay guys,
today I got banned, and yet no response from Anet after my ban.
Here is what happened.

=======
Hi, as you can see on my purchase history, I purchase gems time to time to buy transmute stones and make over kits. I made a legendary item-meteorlogicus yesterday and therefore tried purchasing gems again today to change my looks to match the item better. However, here are the problems.

1. I tried purchasing gems using paypal, it said an error occured and the transaction wont complete.

2. After trying many more times, I used my credit card instead of paypal, and it would not work again. It continuosly fails and notes to check my information just in case, but everything is correct.

3. Knowing that Ive purchased gems in the past, I figure there must be something wrong in the system.

4. I then ordered some gold from a website that was advertising in Lions Arch.

5. I have not yet received the gold, however, my friend tells me I could get banned for purchasing the gold outside of GW2 Trading Post.

6. My transactions with the gem store still doesnt work, and now Im expecting a delivery from a seller which could end up with me getting banned.

As you can see from my log, Ive invested a lot of time to make legendary and it was done solely with my own effort and it is legit. It would be a complete shame if I get banned for this incident after all the hard work..Please help!!
==========

I had issues with the Gem Store not working, and for the reasons above, I used a private gold seller advertising in Lions Arch. After ordering my gold, I am notified by a friend it’s a bannable offense so then decided to immediately report to Anet to avoid ban and asked for a resolution. Here is the end result.

Hello,

After reviewing the incident and associated game logs it appears that your account purchased in-game gold or virtual items for real-world money, which is a violation of the Guild Wars 2 Rules of Conduct. As a result your account has been temporarily suspended and the gold or gold-equivalent of the goods you received has been removed.

All violations of the Rules of Conduct will lead to a mark being placed on your account. Each mark triggers suspension of your account for a given period. The period of suspension will be longer with each additional mark placed on your account and continued breach of the User Agreement of Rules of Conduct will result in termination of the account. On the other hand, marks will expire after a period of time for those who discontinue any sort of disallowed activity. By reading and following the Rules of Conduct and User Agreement, you can clear your account of marks and avoid the risk of lengthy suspensions or account termination.

Please visit the following link for more information on the Rules of Conduct, our Real-Money Trading Policy, and Conduct Breaches and Outcomes:

Regards,
GM Lloyd

I got banned immediately, and they took everything from me.
Sure, I made a mistake, but if I had any ill intention or if I was trying to break the rules and get by it, I would not have reported my own account.

I asked for a resolution for a misfortune due to my lack of knowledge and asked them to help me out, but what I get in return for my decency/honesty is just a ban, no help whatsoever.

Why is it even called customer support?
Anet, honestly, is this all you can do? Just ban people?

This is not a ban. This is a suspension. Many games will ban — that is, terminate -- your account. We have not.

But what you did is a very harmful thing to the game, the players, and our company. That was not a “private gold seller.” Almost without doubt, you made your purchase from a representative of a company that victimizes players. That means you supported a company that is directly involved in spamming advertising in our game. You supported a company that is directly involved in account thefts; they steal accounts to get items and to spam advertise in a vicious cycle of which players are the victim.

Instead of writing Support to tell them the wrong thing you did, you should have written and asked them to help you make your purchase.

Check your account — I believe you would be able to access the game now. If you wish to purchase gems in the future, please allow our support team to help you and do not support an RMT company.

Please IMMEDIATELY stop sending support tickets, and do not spam them again in the future. This was an error in judgment on your part, and it’s unfair that you are demanding help in various venues (mass number of tickets, forums) when other players with legitimate issues also need help.
