I have never thought this is happening to me.
My account just got terminated and then suspended for 2 weeks after further investigation. They said that I have botted or used macros but never told me when, where, which toon was used so I can prove my innocence.

I have been playing gw1 for 5 years and gw2 since its launch. I am an adult.
I know what is right what is wrong. Every items on my account, I have earned them honestly. I got nothing to hide.

I am really sad and frustrated.
Please I just need justice.

Have you tried submitting a ticket to support? That’s the only way you’re going to get any answers.

They aren’t going to give out specific details about the exact instance that got you banned.

If they did, botters would use that knowledge to make better macros and what not to better avoid detection and subsequent banning.

I agree with what u said, Seera.

However, how can i prevent something like this to happen to me again if they do not explain what type of situation I was in?
They should give me at least the location then I will not go there because of just being there, might get me banned again.

The hardest part is to convinced myself to accept the punishment for the wrongdoing
that I did not commit.

The place for a final review is Tickets for Review. Gaile is the person who looks the tickets and their issues one last time.

Post the ticket number and a short explanation for her to check it.

They don’t just go punishing people or suspending accounts for no reason. If you truly believe you are innocent of any wrong-doing, take a look at your equipment. A friend of mine recieved a warning for botting, and he realized it was the mouse he was using…the mouse allowed him to program macros to do certain things and he had programmed a combat sequence into it. Even though this was outside of the game (he wasn’t botting or using macro’s in the game) they detected this sequence as being not-human and gave him a warning on it (they didn’t tell him what the warning was about…just like for you…but he figured it out based on he rules of one click = one action). He disabled his mouse macro’s and went back to one click = one action and he was never suspended…and the warning eventually faded away.

The rules do not only apply to specific guild-wars 2 bots or macros….make sure you are using none on your keyboard or mouse also….even if it seems innocuous , it could be causing your suspension. But I do not believe that they warn and then suspend people for no reason whatsoever.

Your friend was so lucky because I got no warning at all.

The sort of irrelevant warnings I got is about pinging the poi during doing the tier quests in Dry Top and I was not sure why i got them. The commander there also got it.
He said maybe a bug.

Anyway I do not even know how to use the macros. I have changed some key-mapping on my keyboard and mouse but that was long times ago.

Any tickets that require review should be posted in the Tickets for Review thread. Please provide the ticket number if you post there.

As far as getting more details, I’ve said this many times in the past, but I don’t mind repeating it:

When an account is found to be using a bot, we terminate that account’s access to the game. Such terminations are nearly always permanent, but if a player submits a ticket and appeals the termination, we will review the details and game logs again to verify the decision. If the information in the initial termination decision remains solid (and it nearly always does), the player is told again simply that the account was terminated for use of a disallowed third-party program.

Why no details?

Because providing details will be giving botters a lesson in how to get around cheat detection. If we say “You did X, Y, and Z,” then the botters will simply change their algorithms or their process to avoid or mask those activities. If we say “You were on this map, doing this thing,” then you can be sure that the botters will go to a different map, log in at a different time, use a different character, or try to perform slightly different actions in order to avoid detection.

We cannot and will not offer a “Guide to Cheating” for our game. And for that reason, we are not able to provide specific details about an account termination. Legitimate accounts will be reviewed, and they will be reinstated into the game. But again, such cases are rare. In short, our not providing details on cheat detection is in the best interests of the game and our players.
