If you have placed a credit card order and do not receive the transmittal of gems within a few minutes, you are welcome to submit a ticket.
If you placed a PayPal order, those can occasionally run a bit longer, but you’re always invited to submit a ticket if you believe the delay is lengthy. (Personally I would wait a few hours, but it’s up to you.)
I’ve been receiving the “unfortunately an error has occured, please try again later.” for two weeks. I tried couples of times every day and still no luck.
Mine’s the same as above. New players since two weeks ago. I really love this game but the paying issue is annoying… Actually I could not make the purchase when I was buying GW2 and had to do it on Amazon, so I didn’t even enjoy the 50% discount.
I am sorry that you are having issues! I really believe that this requires a careful, individual investigation by a support agent. So please submit a ticket by clicking “Support” at the top of this page and then clicking the “Submit a request” option. Provide as much information as possible in the web form, which will create a ticket within the support system. If you do not know some of the information requested, leave the field blank. However, there are two drop-down areas that require an answer so be sure to choose from those fields so the ticket is properly submitted. Once you’ve done that, the CS Team should be able to help you.
I just found this thread as i am having the same issues using a credit card (unexpected error try again later). They all have balance and tried both cards and nothing. was hoping to get the same results as those who got their gems but sadly haven’t got mine.
Sorry for being impatient as i saved money to try and buy a ton of gems today… like 1,200 dollars worth for obvious reasons… ticket number is 914587. Since the last reply was like 14 days later, i wonder if most got their problems fixed.
Will still wait for the proper processing of course but i would like to know if someone got a quick fix on it that could help. Thanks and more power.

I seem to be acquiring the same error as most have, where after confirming to pay – it error’s and then payment is not made, and there is no gems delivered either.
I am having a weird issue where the gem store REFUSE to use my paypal which is linked to my bank account, it never happened before. When i get to the paypal screen, the option is grayed out… any ideas why? I purchased gems before and never did i was obliged to use a credit cards, which made me happy <<.

I have been trying to buy Gems but an error message keeps popping up (Unfortunately an error has occurred. Please try again later!) as soon as I hit the “confirm” button and it takes me back to the gem selection page. I have tried relogging, rebooting, switching maps, etc. to no avail. I recently bought lots of gems for buying a legendary greatsword using gold-gem conversion system which is legitimate. Since that, I can’t buy gem at all.
One of my guild member said I may blacklisted as a gold-seller or spammer. But I have never used gold-selling-website or anything else.

I bought $200 worth of gems about 10 minutes ago but got some error message (twice now). This happened last time and took a little while to finally go through so I’m just hoping that’s the case but would like to know if the orders went through? Still waiting on 16k gems and I need to get the candy corn gobbler & raiment of the lich before it goes off the TP :-(
Edit: It’s been more than an hour now – maybe the purchase didn’t go through? But I don’t want to go spending another $200 to find out later on it did go through (and just took a few hours to process) and end up forking out $400 instead of $200. Anet help please?
Edit2: Just tried using Paypal this time – this time for $100 worth of gems, to see if this would go through. Same problem. Bloody error again! There’s nothing wrong at my end – must be the company that deals with international transactions or something cause I’ve tried everything. Buying gems has never been so frustrating in my entire life.
I’m still getting this messages , I have bought lots of items in the past with no trouble such as mining picks , copper machine salvager , and more . I already raised a ticket but I’m still getting an error message .
I did not create a support ticket but I am having the same problem, I’ve tried repeatedly for about 12 hours. I’ve tried numerous amounts. Of all my attempts I’ve only had two $10 transactions go through—each using a different address, each if replicated unable to get success a second time.
I saw no failed transactions from my account. Even so, I have went so far as to call my credit card provider and question them about it- and they don’t even see an attempted transaction at all. Just the two successful, no declines, no attempts.

Just wanted to add I’m also having issues. I bought gems 3 days ago, and 2 days ago the store has not been letting me buy any more because of the ‘unexpected error’ on card or paypal.
I live in Singapore and I recently bought a scratchcard called MOLPoint from 7-Eleven and it said it could redeem Gems in GW2. However after buying the code i went over to the redeem option ingame and it didnt work. Please help, I would gladly appreciate it.

I have been getting the “An Error Has Occurred, please try again later!” message since Halloween. I tried a few other times since then to no avail (not a big deal as the things I wanted are no longer on sale but with Christmas goodies now available, I am trying to solve my problem).
Searches found a few recommended solutions such as clearing the temp/cache folders/files but to no avail. I have also tried PayPal and a credit card on 3 PC’s without any luck.
Astral Projections.7320 recommended submitting a ticket and posting here… Hopefully I can get it resolved before the limited time items are no longer an option.
Having the same problem about the error and to try again later. Some days it lets me, other days it doesn’t. PayPal doesn’t even ask me to log in so no idea how it expects to conduct the transaction that way. I’m never charged for these purchases, they are simply denied. I contacted my Bank and Credit Card providers and there is no block. They are not even receiving these failed transactions. I tried running a repair on the client but that didn’t fix anything. I even tried temporarily disabling my AV shields in case it was stopping a PayPal popup, but to no avail. The problem is 99% not on my side or able to be corrected by any actions on my part. The only thing I haven’t tried is uninstalling the entire game, clearing the registry of any traces, and reinstalling.
