I think with this latest event it’s become extremely apparent just how game breaking the lag can get in Guild Wars 2 when you join a massive event full of 100+ players and monsters all over the place.

the fact that you can run into a group of players, then die because you’ve been killed by a load of monsters that you cannot see because the game’s too busy rendering the players is a bit rediculous!

So there’s an easy fix for this, please change the engine to render monsters before players. we don’t need to know exactly where every single player in a massive group of 100 is… but we DO need to know where the hoard of rampaging monsters are that are killing everybody!

Yeah our whole group have been having this major issue during the new Phase 3 Event while following the NPC into the Karka Hive. Needless to say, we all insta-died and only see green on the ground and none of us can see any of the karka anywhere.

Monsters are server side. They just need to be sent to us.

Players are on their computers, sent server side, then sent to us.

I probably am grossly ignorant about how the process works, but it seems to be monsters should be the easiest thing to show us….
