Ever since the Secret of Southsun update, ive been getting terrible skill-lag. I use a skill, and it takes nearly 5-7 mins to respond. I can re-log, and then it will work for a few minutes, but the skill-lag will set back in again.

Is anyone else having this problem, and is there any known fix?

I’ve also been having the same issue, but it’s been occurring long before the SoS update. How’s your internet connection? Not sure if you are, but playing wireless can have a negative effect if you’re signal consistently fluctuates. I’ve always assumed that was the issue for me, but there are times where I think it may be something else.

I play on a wired connection, and I don’t notice any changes in the status of my connection.

In the 14th May patch notes they wrote:

“Optimizations

We’re rolling out our first set of optimizations. This is the first in many steps involved in helping resolve issues with “skill lag.” Some players will experience a slight improvement in skill lag issues with large groups of players, while some players may also experience a slight raise in their FPS."

So I guess the skill lag is not really caused at our end.
That’s how I experienced it, too.
My internet connection is stable and does not seem to affect it.
Skill lag only occurs for me in bigger events, not in normal pve.

Ok, mildly mythed. If the SoS patch is meant to HELP with Skill Lag, explain how ive never got it once in all the months the game has been out, BEFORE the supposed “fix” came out, and after it comes out, I cant even do my auto-attack without a 5-min delay.

EDIT: isn’t this nice, now it wont even let me past the loading screen.

/Logic: Puts out an update that fixes bugs, breaks game instead.

Still cant get past loading screen. . .I genuinely am disgusted at this point. a GM can reply this with an explanation, beacuse ive looked round the forums, and google, and cant find bugger all about this.
