I’m unsure of other runes such as Svanir or Forge, but this is a particularly annoying bug with Vampirism that really mucks up the usefulness of them
The tooltip:
“(6): You become mist when you fall below 10% health. (Cooldown: 60s)”
The bug:
The reality is that the effect only triggers when you’re hit WHILE BELOW 10% hp (regardless or not if you live). If you go from 20% down to 9% it will not trigger. If you’re hit again (hopefully you live), mist form will trigger.
Why this is a problem:
The tooltip states when you fall below, not when you’re hit below. This is a major problem for the usefulness of these runes, because many enemies can hit you for 10% or more of your hp per attack and you never even enter mist form (yet the cd still triggers). As with the ice block effect from runes of Svanir, condition damage still hurts you, and can kill you. If you’re hit at 9% down to 2% with conditions on, you’re probably going to die, on top of which your skills are locked so you cant do much about it during those 0-3 seconds before you drop.
I think in 2 days of using these runes they’ve legitimately saved me one time, and the rest I either dropped 1 second after turning into mist because of conditions, or it just never triggered and I was downed. Don’t get me wrong, I LIKE the fact that condition damage still hurts you while in mist form or encased in ice, what I don’t like is that in order for the mist form effect to trigger you have to be such low health that any condition can kill you, or it may not even trigger at all. This makes the 6th bonus mostly useless.
Ways to fix this problem:
I’m not trying to tell you guys what to do, but I’d like to see these runes fixed as they’re a great little addition to gameplay instead of just stats. I see 3 ways they could be fixed
1) Probably the hardest, but change the actual mechanic so it triggers properly according to the tooltip, so getting hit from 20% down to 9% triggers the effect.
2) Probably the easiest, but doesn’t really fix the problem. Simply change the tooltip to reflect the effect.

3) I think this would be the best solution; make them like runes of Svanir, which triggers at 20% hp with a 90s cd. The mobility you get compared to Svanir is balanced with the fact that mist form lasts for only 3 seconds while Svanir puts you in the ice block for 5 seconds
