I used a birthday booster today and it is not giving the 100% karma gain stated in the description. Also it is not saying anything about karma once you use it. I have included screenshots. I also had karma food on that I forgot to change when I took the screen but you can still see that it is not 100% gain to karma added. I am also not sure about the xp as sometimes I do not see a bonus xp on my screen after killing something.

Could be the whole token is bugged – I am not sure on the gains from the other things I just noticed karma right away.

Had to wait for the event to happen again and did it on a character (also a level 80) with no birthday booster- (used the same karma food on her) Same karma rewards. Actually same everything not sure what gain the birthday booster is providing at this point.

Regarding the Bonus Experience not displaying.
I, too, sometimes experience no Bonus Experience popping up along side the normal experience when killing experience-granting enemies. I only just started noticing it when I was using a 50% XP Booster with a Guild 10% Experience Banner to where the Bonus XP pop up wasn’t presented much of the time. I think I was noticing a trend to where the bonus XP pop up wasn’t being displayed for killing more of a single type of enemy after killing 2-3 of them in a brief time, and would begin displaying it again when killing another type of enemy.

Example:

• I killed about 3 Brackish Skales and received Bonus XP pop ups.
• I then killed several more and was not receiving the Bonus XP pop up.
• I then killed a Bandit and received the Bonus XP pop up.
• I returned to the Brackish Skales and received the Bonus XP for a few of them before it wouldn’t display again until I “switched up” the enemy type I was killing again.

I’m not sure if it is only not being displayed graphically or if the bonus experience actually isn’t being awarded. I’ve not done further testing as yet.

Though I’m not certain of this yet, it is possible that there are some protocols to Bonus XP that limits it from being awarded after several of the same type of enemy is killed. If it is this way, then it may exist to help prevent XP farming of quick-spawning enemies so one would need to kill various types of enemies instead of a single type of enemy to be awarded the Bonus XP.

The bonus XP is an exploration bonus earned based on how long a creature has been alive in the world. Not a bonus from buffs or boons.

Tested xp and wxp those do in fact seem to be increased. So basically is karma suppose to be increased by the booster or not? The icon before use says yes item after use does not include karma. I would like to think that karma should be included and was an oversight and a bug that it is not being increased by the booster.

A definite answer would be appreciated.

Still curious which is wrong the tool tip on the boost or the use of the boost. I have 4 more and would like to know if I should wait for a bug to be fixed.

Hmm while tooltip for item says! It should work like that! Simple. Anet should fix it without care about time limits or suchs while nothing said on item info! Or we just say ANET cheating us lol! Hope this get fixed before start using them myself bday boosters. Atm have 8 in bank.

Scratch that, it does say it gives karma bonus. It never used to, I think it is a bug from a recent update.

Happy Monday- Still curious if I should wait for this to be corrected to include karma or if it is just a tool tip error on the before use booster. Would love an answer as I have others to use but won’t until I know for sure!

It still says that it gives a Karma boost but does not.

An update:
Birthday Booster tool-tip still states that it gives a boost to Karma gained, yet does not grant additional Karma when earning Karma from qualifying methods.

Still unsure of whether the bug is that the boost to Karma is listed on the booster info and shouldn’t be, or if the bug is that the booster doesn’t give the increase to Karma gained as it should.
