In the Game Update Notes – November 15, 2012 under the Engineer section we finally got the ability to stow kits mid-air :
*All kits can be stowed in the air now.
This is no longer possible, could someone look into this, pretty please? 
Edit: To clarify; It is no longer possible to use the ‘Drop bundle’ key to stow kits.
