Cannot Upgrade Elegant Tailor's Backpack
For some reason, the elegant crafting backpacks are only level 78. The jewels you’re trying to use are probably level 80.

Use level 65 rare jewel upgrades instead of level 80 exotics and it’ll work just fine. It’ll even be 6 points stronger than a normal level 80 exotic back item with an exotic upgrade.
