I never get notified anymore when someone has posted in guild chat. Makes it frustrating when I’m in another tab and will have someone trying to get my attention there. I’ve tried deleting it and made sure that, “flash on unread messages,” is checked but to no avail. Only started happening after the newest patch

Hmm…you know, I’ve never seen a tab flash. Ever. The only thing that notifies me of anything is the sound that a whisper makes.

And yes, I have ‘Flash on unread messages’ ticked.

It really is of little consequence, to me , but your post just made me realize that it doesn’t work for me.

I don’t think it actually “flashes” when you have that selected; it simply turns the chat panel label red.

Huh. Well, I would think I would have noticed something like that, but who knows? I will try to make a concerted effort to notice anything different. =)

It’s supposed to turn red but it doesn’t. It’s been broken for a long time

My guild tab also refuses to turn red with new messages. My map tab works just fine, but not guild. Very frustrating. And I have also deleted and recreated the tab and checked/unchecked the “flashing” box.

Yes, since long time it was supposed to just turn the tab label red when there is a new messages, and not actually “flash”. The issue with guild chat not “flashing” started with March 31st patch (yup, the one which messed up with a lot of stuff).

However, I have ran in a different and annoying issue. Recently my local/map chat will flash frequently when there’s not even a new message there. Several times it flashes and when I switch tabs there’s not any new message. I haven’t been able to note if it’s related to new messages in other tabs or whatever, but it just has got annoying :S
