Yesterday evening I did a bit of exploring with my Revenant to work on my Pact commander. I started out in Lions Arch, jumped to Wychmire Waypoint (which I passed on the way to the Silverwastes) and headed south towards Twilight Arbor acquiring the Hero Point and the renown heart on the way. A bit further south I got a Server disconnect. So far so normal.
When re logging however the character login screen showed my character back at Lions Arch. Trying to connect to the character always result in a Network error. Again annoying but not unheard of.
This morning I went back to the character, he was still in Lions arch but I can connect now. Now the weird thing: While Renown Heart and Hero Point are gone and listed as not earned now the area is still unfogged. So this part of the progress has been saved but not the heart or Hero Point. Unfortunately I can’t remember how many spare Hero Points the the character had before the whole thing.
The whole thing happened while using the x64 Beta but I somewhat doubt this is the issue.
