Hey,

always when i’m online with my internet stick (pending between 1-3 MB/s) i do not have any problems with activating skills or lags, but a huge problem with dodging.
Basically, a boss starts his attack, i dodge, on my screen im in the air, in the middle of my dodge roll – and i take the whole damage while i sometimes still get the message “Evaded”.
Though, there’s a delay from me pressing the skill to the character acting, plus a delay between when the dodge is shown on my screen and GW2 really thinks i dodge.
The funny thing about this is that when i press dodge ~1 second before the boss will start his attack, my character will start dodging ~0.5 seconds before the start of the boss attack animation and when i stand still and the damage should hit me because i stand still right in the attack circle, i won’t get the message “Evaded” but neither take any damage.
My latency to GW2 is mostly between 100 and 200, just same as when im online with wlan. With wlan (horrible connection, sometimes 50kbit/s, sometimes 80mbit/s) i do not have any delay on my dodge. Neither between pressing the skill until my character acts nor from my character acting to “really dodging”.

This isn’t a problem in 90% of the game’s content, but i only do dungeons. Can you imagine how it feels getting kitten by Bosses over and over again, not because you did something wrong but because the game decides to let you die?
Example: GL, phase 1 is basically easily doable with the delay, the grub spawn i dodge when his hand is at the lowest point (instead of when its right in the air, like most players do lol) and the kick “always” happens ~2 moments after the grub/locust spawn.
Phase 2 is okay too, i just dodge the aoe before his animation will finish, stand still on him for the next second and the red circles wont do anything to me. but at least when it comes to phase 3, i dodge right in the second when he’s starting his bubble animation, pop stability and get out but still take 1 damage tick. Or his AoE Lifeleech, i basically doubledodge/WA out but still get every single damage hit, while evading.

To sum it up: its frustrating and i’d like to know what this is caused by and how i can fix it. Thanks.

Edit: After watching the slow version of the video, i now can add that i get the damage before the attack should reach me….
