Since the patch, I myself and people I’ve grouped with have begun disconnecting when attempting to enter dungeons. They cannot enter no matter how many times they attempt it. The error is the familiar couldn’t connect to the log-in server issue.

I tried to enter the final instance of ‘The Nightmares Within’ in a group several times after i managed to solo it and got disconnected every time.

Edit: The latest try to enter the last LS instance in a group was successful.

Edit2: The last try failed again. I think all the disconnects happend on an overflow, the successful try on the regular server (Aurora Glade).

I have the same problem. Constant crashes on FotM loading screen.

The first time it crashes on the loading screen, than it crashes when I click on the character. After that the string loops.

EDIT: Still not working. There goes my FotM daily chest. Great

I tried several times to enter CoF or Caudecus Manor, on different characters, and it makes me disconnect from the game, saying an error with a code. Gave up for the day, hoping for a hotfix.

having the same problem – tried to enter FoTM, immediately lost connection, the character I was using now strangly has 0% map completion and I cant start playing

Same problem here. Tried to enter the last tower instance and both another party member and I kept disconnecting. I couldn’t even log back into my character until the entire party left. We tried tried again and I STILL disconnected. I love the newest update, but this is just ridiculous.

Have yet to try any dungeons, but to be on the safe side I’ll probably avoid them until a fix comes out.

When my Ranger crashed for the second time I moved to my elementalist so I could apologize and leave the party. Now I can no longer get into my ranger. I keep getting the same DC message when I try.

If you are in a party and crash, log into another character, tell them to leave first, then log back into your previous one. This is what I did the first time and it worked but the second time I left while on my ele and now I can’t get back into my ranger.

Same problem here when trying to enter the instance of the Hybrid as a party. Client crashes with the error reporting that it can’t connect to the login server.

I can’t enter any dungeon too please fix this.

Got it to work finally .-. I have no idea whats up with it. I didn’t do anything different, it just randomly decided to let me log back in. Still cant enter instance though and all of my previous progress reset.

Very strange indeed. But it definitely happens when entering an instance with a party, so at least we know the causes.

0% map completion also?!
A friend of mine resolved the issue by guesting. Only worked for him though.

managed to log back in, the in-game map displays the correct percentage, it still says 0 on character select though

Having the same problem as everyone else… Try to enter Fractals with my group. Disconnected over and over whenever I try…

Same problem esp with final boss in the Tower!

Same issue. I just missed my daily from every dungeon due to this bug. Expecting a fix and compensation.

they should have some kind of test server to avoid this everytime they release a new patch u.u

Hotfix didn’t work. Still can’t get in.

I wasn’t having this issue before the hotfix patch, and now I am. Confirmed for AC and HoTW trying with 4 different groups

If you try to join a dungeon instance that was not opened from your own server and you have already used up both your guesting tickets (to different servers), you will be punted to the desktop.

You will then crash again every time you try to log that character into the game for as long as the dungeon remains open.

This is speculation. It looks like they made a change to dungeon guesting to use a guesting ticket, which I don’t recall it ever doing in the past. It now uses a “soft” ticket on dungeon entry, which is what you get when you try to guest somewhere and end up in an overflow. The ticket becomes “hard” and used up when you actually touch soil on the guested destination.

My bet is the bug is a result of the soft ticket staying active when you exit the dungeon, thus becoming used up. So, do two dungeons or two guests and you’ve used up all your soft tickets. Then you try your third. It gives you a soft ticket and then at some point an assertion checks and screams “uh, 3 tickets bad, get lost!”

Just happened to me on Sorrow’s Embrace, couldn’t follow the leader in to the dungeon.

Same here getting d/ced every time I try to enter a dungeon.

I crash whenever i try to enter CoF as well and it has been annoying cause i have been trying to farm for my set. I hope they fix it soon at least before the next daily cycle.

Now i cant even got on any of my characters. Wtf is going on!?

I’m getting the same thing cant use the lfg tool or enter dungeons outside of my server. I’m getting failed to connect to router spam thing when trying to do dungeons outside of my server. I do have my two guest slots filled. It works like this you try to join a dungeon outside of your server you toon gets stuck crashing when you try to enter the dungeon. The way to fix this is leave the party on another toon then guest to another server and log back onto the toon that is the trick that freed my toon from the crashing loop.

Very Very annoying bug. they have to fix it quickly. its happening on any dungeon with any character. i’m only able to solo the new instance

My tour night is ruined -_- trying releasing and renewing IP, loading diff chars etc.. nothing works.

Not only this but I have not guested to another server in like a month and yet as soon as the new build hit, the game auto guested me on two random servers.

Ah the sacrifices dungeon goers have to make for the open worlders -_-

having the same problem… mostly while i was doing the nightmare tower instances, so i thought it was a bug with the instances so i let it go, i could solo them without problem… anyway it just happened twice with two different dungeons, anet, fix this pls…

Fixed several client crashes, including one that prevented some players from entering the game.

Hmm, that’s funny. I’m still DC’ing every 2 minutes.

I have been kicked out of 5/7 attempts to join the final Nightmare tower instance. Each time I had more than 1 party member and joining from overflow.

Plus it’s almost impossible to find anybody wanting to group to do this.

Trying to join a friend’s dungeon group for Ascalonian Catacombs. 5/5 attempts. 0/5 successes.

I too have the same problem. I cannot do a single group dungeon instance since the patch without disconnecting all the time

I got the same issue here. I notice that this problem could happen if u try to switch char when your group are in the dungeon.

Same the only way I can get in is to open my own dungeon then inv others
