Guild Wars 2

Trying to do new collection achieves, and both of these appear to be bugged. Waited 2 hours for the Krewe Leader Dobbs event to spawn with no luck, and Scholar Breandan is just frozen mid-event, no mobs spawning, no movement, keeping the WP perpetually contested and keeping him from entering merchant mode. Very frustrating.

Furthermore, apparently this issue with Breandan has been there since March according to another forum post. Not sure why Anet chose to attach an achieve to an already buggy event :/

Add Scholar Riagan to this list. There’s an event notification where the event SHOULD be taking place, but no npc, nor any other indicators.

I was in Timberline Falls last night and Scholar Dobbs was still bugged. The waypoint is permanently contested, but Dobbs seems to think that he’s still back in the dig site, meaning he won’t start his event to take the dig site back.

All 3 events are still bugged on a EU megaserver.

• Schollar Dobbs: waypoint is contested, nothing happens. I’ve seen the same people waiting in the area for hours, hoping the event would start.

• Breandan: the NPC is stuck next to a wall and would not continue his mission. Yesterday I arrived there when the event was actually ongoing. We protected it with a bunch of people until it arrived to the middle of the underwater temple area. When we killed what seemed to be the last wave of risen, it just froze and would not move. Today it remains in the same location.

• Scholar Riagan (Bloodtide Coast) – the event is supposed to start after protecting the camp. However it takes forever, and by the time it spawns, the people that protected the camp are already gone because they give up on waiting. Event fails when Riagan dies, and he dies pretty fast when there is noone to protect him.

I don’t get why those items are a part of the treasure collection, if the events to unlock them have been bugged for ages. Half the items for the collection are insanely expensive, the rest can’t be obtained because of bugs…

This event is still bugged even after the latest patch.

Yeah. I’ve been waiting for a patch to reset the servers to base unbugged status, but by the time I got home from work, Dobbs was already bugged. >.< It’s insane how quickly/often his event bugs out, and I haven’t been able to see it in action enough to get an idea of what causes the bug.

The event does take a while to respawn when failed which isn’t always a bad thing, its meant to make people succeed, too many people have the attitude that failing to farm is better, the fact that people give up because it takes a long time to respawn doesn’t make it bugged, ive helped several people do this event over the last week just need a bit of patience and about 5 people to make sure he doesn’t die cause hes a squishy.

You actually don’t want TOO many people at Riagan though. The more people there are, the more Risen that spawn, including the dreaded Plague Bearers that are the biggest culprit for one-shotting Riagan. If you attempt it solo, or with one or two other people, only one or two Plague Bearers spawn per spawn, and you can pinpoint and quickly spike them down before they reach Riagan.

The Risen Abominations are also ones to watch out for, if they happen to get Riagan in their charge path.

Dobbs is still bugged.

I’ve found a way to still complete the riagan event.
So, when i went to go do this event, the problem was that riagan was always dead on the floor without being able to revive him.
What i did on my thief, i used shadow refuge ontop of his dead body, it revives him! U gonna have to do it few times till he is back alive, but that’s how i got it to work! Gl

event still bugged, weeks jumping in and out of this map. its the only item missing from my collection, sad…
