Fix it

Ok maybe I’m just slow, but I’m not seeing a bug…with the pistol whip one, you were immobilized, and tried to pistol whip the enemy, but they were in a position behind you and you missed. The first on, I’m not seeing anything that even looks like a bug…But hey I am not exactly sure what I’m looking for.
Also, I would suggest you change the title to something that reflect what the bug actually is. “Fix it” doesn’t really help the devs or anyone else who may be experiencing this problem. Just an idea.

Good point. Having a “fix it” as title and only a vid doesn’t help to understand what do you mean. I also saw the vid and I couldn’t see what’s wrong there. Maybe changing the title as suggested plus adding some description or stuff about where you think the bug is or what’s wrong in it could help either devs and players to know more exactly what are you reporting here.

There have been tons of posts about it already.
For those who didn’t see how Pistol Whip got interrupted by a condition that should only root you in place. Watch both video’s closely.
Then ask yourself this:
“Should a condition that is easily applied, interrupt a very expensive skill and leave a squishy Thief (expecting his timed evade frame) completely vulnerable.”
Yeah, still not seeing it, I do see the pistol whip skill actually going off, but in the first video, target was too far away, and in the second, the skill still went off, but target was behind you.

I’m sorry to say this, but actually having to explain everyone what a skill does is not the meaning of this thread.
Log in to GW2, grab S/P and read the skill. Thats about the basic information you need before replying to a thread like this.
I’ve been playing S/P since beta. And this bug gives a huge (unfair) advantage against opponents with easy acces to Immobilize. In fact, some new players might not even understand why they died while using PW while all the skill effects are flying around.
Its simple, PW failed.

You first question the very existence of a bug. Then after 2 video’s and 3 of my posts, I assumed by reading your reaction that you have no idea what Pistol Whip actually is.
You certainly make it sound real bad. But yeah, play it before questioning my statement.
So instead of being helpful and enlightening us to what the ability is supposed to do and explain what the bug is, you assume that everyone is a) Going to look at the Vid, b) Play the class in question to know the ability.
I’m sure the QA department will give this thread all the attention it so richly deserves. Good luck!

I’m here to present the fact that this bug is still here after several years. The fact that you all come here to judge my helpfullness to the community, even choose to point out yourselves that I need to make a guide because 2 video’s are not enough, is in my opinion pretty sad.
At least it keeps this thread alive.
I think this is more a case of you do not like the way the skill works now, so you come here and call it a bug, when in fact it is working as intended. Your current posts do not provide enough information on what you believe to be an issue with the skill to really get anyone attention or interest.
In order to have a useful discussion about the issue you want to bring up, you need to provide details. Your post should start with outlining, with details, how the skill works now. Then provide details on how you think it should be working. Compare and contrast the current skill with your vision of the skill to provide something for people to comment on. You can follow that information with a suggestion to ArenaNet to modify the skill. Give detailed reasons why you believe your requested change will be better for Guild Wars 2 than the current version of the skill.
Just saying “Fix It” and dropping a couple of video clips is not helping your cause. It really does help if you articulate your concerns and provide details so that others can try to follow your point of view.
