Dargor I had the same issues as You, the problem seemed to be that my drivers and some parts of my registry where messed up, I couldn’t fix it and started becoming very annoying so I did format my pc and everything is fine now(with the old GW2 folder).

Mine is a little more brutal. It gets stuck at ‘Guild Wars 2(Not responding)’ sometimes on start up or exit. Cannot be forced quit. I see gw2.exe running in task manager but there’s nothing I could do with it. It won’t go away no matter what I do. It causes my pc to be unable to shut down whenever I play gw2. I had to literally ‘FORCE SHUTDOWN’. It’s annoying and I wonder how long my pc is going to last if I keep doing this.

Yes, for the last 5 days Gw2.exe has been crashing as client and in task manager underprocesses gw2.exe refuses to end and all other programs wont start until system is force shutdown. System will not shutdown normally. This only happens when I attempt to open gw2.

I was also having this issue. To fix it I just ran the repair on gw2.exe. It hasn’t given me any trouble since.

Thanks for the information! I ran a repair on the game like you said and it also fixed this problem for me, which was introduced by the last major patch.
