“Gw2, It’s still on the Table!” – Anet
This bug is still in and I happen to suffer from it quite a lot. From what I gathered yesterday, 4 on 5 falls didn’t bring me back to the Asura gate, but made me use the WP and do the first jumping part, which isn’t that long, but gets considerably annoying when you do it more than 2 times in a row because of a bug.
This bug can occur anywhere in this jumping puzzle. Your progression however won’t be lost.
Same here. You actually have time to map waypoint away to avoid the death.
It’s not so much the death that is bothersome because most of the time you don’t die upon landing but when you move a few inches.
The bigger problem is having to back back up to the puzzle.
Experienced this today pre-build. Happened in the second portion of the puzzle; once while missing a jump to a root and falling through the map to the area below which killed me. WP and got back up to find all progress lost. Started over and upon getting ported to the second area – immediately fell through the floor and landed alive on an inquest site far below. Was able to make my way back and up to the very first portal at the end of the initial jumping portion and my progress wasn’t lost. The ‘holes’ seem to be random.
Hoping it might have been patched… going to try again now that the latest build is up.
This HAS to be looked at!
I have three jumping puzzles left to do in the game, and despite me trying to complete this one a few times, I simply can’t because of the glitches.
For me, jumping puzzles are hard enough without having to start over from square one after almost getting to the end.

I got as far as the final stretch of stepping stones arrow (just after chilly station) & also copped the ‘step #2 chilled midair bug’, which dropped me a hair’s whisker short for another CloudDive. Thanks ANet – great work! ;-p
I’m told the clouddive bug after an instant appearance at windy station (following a normal fall), is a lag bug of some sort. Though I feel no such latency while playing/jumping otherwise, I guess it’s possible being from down under, so probably have ~300ms in game, bleh.
Off the easier puzzle pastures until this gets sorted…or I can fly to NY & play from next door to ANet with sub 10ms latency! <G>
Btw, does it matter in any way (e.g. achievements) if I do all the JPs with the 1 char, or spread them over multiple chars…? My air elem may be better at this than the norn warrior I’m thinking, but wouldn’t want to lose the opportunity to get a ‘all JPs completed’ achievement or title, whatever (I also made this norn warrior specifically as my explorer 100% completion char). Cheers guys!
No there is no achievement tied to it. It seems to be random where you fall, and where you get teleported, and whether or not you lose your progress. What you do lose if you die is your attunement and so you have to go get that again if you havnt made it to the next area.
I have been lucky and never had it happen to me, but multiple party members have had it happen to them every jump while I was fine, very annoying.
Also in aus, I know the lag happens, I seem to be going fine, but suddenly im on the ground dead, because while I think I made it to the platform, the game thinks I missed and fell to my doom. Particularly prevalent in the unidentified fractal.
It is still bugged.

This thing is terrible. I know that I can do it without falling sometimes, but knowing this bug, I will not try.
The best part is that we have NO response from the ANet!
