I would like to hear an update on this as well, as I experienced the bug about 2 weeks ago now. I think my wife and I are about level 65 still waiting to do our level 30 quests together once this bug is fixed. This is assuming it does get fixed. I can’t see how this isn’t getting more priority.

I was playing with my friend yesterday and accidentally progressed my glitched story one mission ahead. I didn’t realize he was on the same mission as me. I hope this doesn’t effect if my story can be fixed or not.

But one important question:
Can I play the storyline of my other characters or will it also automatically happen to them?
I have two characters still affected from that bug and my human mesmer had the other bug with stealing secrets before (which is fixed now), so every character of mine who came to the level ~ 30 quest (where to meet their friends in lions arch) get bugged.. I don’t want to have more bugged charas if they progress to that point of storyline, so do I have to avoid these storyline quests with all of my characters?

Unless I’m misunderstanding, it sounds like every single person who has been bitten by this bug was grouped with another player at the time, on the exact same quest, and completing it at the exact same time in the same instance.

Is that correct? Or is there anyone who has run into this problem simply by being on this quest while in a group? For example, can two characters who are grouped but not on the same story mission, but playing together through one another’s stories, run into this problem?

i believe that is correct edge, everyone was on the same quest when it bugged out, after chosing to advance. when entering lions arch the quest would just skip forward.

Yes, I am fairly sure this is the case. In fact, most of us who were affected were people playing with significant others, which is where the whole ‘playing along in the same exact missions’ matter the most. Hopefully, this can be fixed soon..

Bumping this, I really want to see this mood spoiler of a bug going away. Please just reset the personal story (to the last mission before the skip) for the affected characters..

Another patch set goes by with no solution offered to effected players.

I really don’t mind this solution at all. I’ve already surpassed the level cap and would really just like to get back to the story if at all possible.
