Hey if anyone can help, I’m not sure if this is a bug or not…

I can’t seem to find Grawnk in any of the home instances, I’ve received the Orphan Laine’s Letter and was hoping to complete this little story, but seeing that it’s after the event I’m not sure if it’s possible?

The wiki says that it is, on the “Warming Grawnk’s Heart” page but It might be a mistake?

“You can still finish the scavenger hunt and feed Grawnk the delicacies after Wintersday 2014 ended. When you go to your home instance, Grawnk and the orphan will still show up. Talk to Grawnk and he will tell you where Sous-Chef Seimur Oxbone is and you can still find him, although his icon won’t show up on the map like it did during Wintersday. After feeding him three times, you will still get the collection unlock item and you can then go do the jumping puzzles to get the ornaments. Once done, you will receive credit for the achievement and get your home instance node and the Orphan’s Generous Gift.”

This is only true if you talked to him at least once before the end of wintersday. The letter itself doesn’t do anything. You technically could have went to your home instance during wintersday, and by never checking your mail, complete the quest.

Thats stupid by anet. I missed this as well, and also cant find Grawnk in my home instance. The letter should be trigger to making grawnk appear in the home instance so you can talk to him and do the scavenger hunt.

Not really. All the items for the scavanger event were removed post the holiday patch months ago. It was just that: a holiday event. I’m sure you might be able to repeat it next year in 9 months from now, but tough luck in missing out on something that was available for well over a month.

really, all of them? i still regularly get the ornament box thingy from the chest in fractals, despite having finished my star during the wintersday period…
