Guild Wars 2

Done this before and was fine. But at part where I speak to Ogden before he tells me to look at hourglass. He only has talk options to talk about mordremoth, eternal alchemy, sylvari, etc. Does not give me option to advance story. Tried relogging but does not work.

This exact thing has happened to me. I have restarted the quest, closed the game and opened it back up, and even restarted my computer. I still get stuck on Ogden’s other chat dialog menu. It looks like the normal one pops up for a second but is then replaced.

Exact same problem for me, I have restarted it several times and it still gets stuck at this part. And yes it appears that the normal dialogue appears for a split second and then automatically skips over it before allowing you to do anything, replacing it with the “my time is less precious than my knowledge…” dialogue, which doesn’t allow you to advance. Can the devs please look into this so I can finish the instance?

Oh, I should also mention that the “buffs” indicating the achievements that can be earned from the instance are showing up on the bar, even though I already completed all the achievements on another character earlier. So that makes two glitches, not sure if they are related somehow.

Add my name to the list of players who are stuck on this bug; here’s a run-down of what happened:

1) I did the Chapter without any problems and got my loot at the end

2) I then used the Replay option to playthrough a second time to get the Accomplishments

3) I finished it as before, but when I exited and looked at my Story Journal I see “Echoes of the Past” with a white star by it and the options of Continue this Episode and Replay this Episode.

• I did try the Continue option but I am stuck where you talk to Ogden before interacting with the Hourglass; it looks like the proper story option tried to pop up but then jumps to the options you get after completing the chapter.

• I also tried grouping with another player who could properly talk to Odgen and get the correct options and did the whole lair and got the “Do you want to complete your story” option, to which I clicked yes, got the “Completed” pop up and STILL the chapter will not complete.

Please look into this and fix it, I really do not want to have to do this yet again. :-(

I got this bug while trying to replay Episode 5 for the achievements (not the first time playing through on 3 separate characters). Logging in and out didn’t fix it, but quitting the story episode and restarting it in the story journal panel seemed to work. When I spoke to Ogden again, he gave me the option to enter Glint’s lair.

Quitting the episode and restarting it worked for me as well. Thanks Apocolyte!

this quest is full of bug. i talk with ogden and nothing appened. it’s 3rd time i try to do that. i lose time.

Still glitching. Submitted bug report after trying Apocolyte’s ‘fix’ unsuccessfully a number of times.

Sorry to bump this old thread but I have this exacpt problem. I tried to restart the quest by logging out, quitting the game, restarting the whole quest line, sacrifing a cow to some old god but Odgen still doesn’t give me the option to enter Gint’s Lair.

So: BUMP.
