My hotkey for my healing skill is the middle mouse button.
My hotkey for auto-walk is shift-middle mouse button.

Whenever I want to auto-walk now, I heal myself as well.
Whenever my heal is on cooldown, my auto-walk will say “skill is on cooldown”.

So, concluding from the above, my healing skill is triggered by auto walking. This makes playing rather difficult for me. Can you revert it the way it was, with the shift-XXX key not also triggering the non-shift-XXX key?

I’m having the same problem. My dodge is middle mouse button, and my weapon swap is Shift + middle mouse button. When I swap weapons, I dodge and swap at the same time now.

My middle mouse button is weapon swap, and shift mouse button is Elite skill. Switching weapons OR enabling Elite skill, now get used at the same time.

Mouse 4 is Charge, while Shift Mouse 4 ‘For Great Justice’ – Again, now both used at the same time.

Incredibly annoying, staying out of game until hotfix.

Same problem here. Mouse 4 should be doing something different than “Shift” + Mouse 4, but it “Shift” + Mouse 4 fires now both actions, resulting in a dodge or weapon swap every time I shatter my clones.

Yep, exact same issue for here on my warrior.

Mouse 4 is burst skill, shift + mouse 4 is swap weapons, I now unintentionally and immediately fire off burst skill after weapon swapping.

It’s really screwing me up right now.

It seems that it only affects mouse bindings.
I use mouse 3/4/5 for my utility skills, auto-run/walk is bound to alt+mouse 4/5 which now also casts utility skill 1/2. My secondary key bindings for utility skills are alt+1/2/3 and when I press, for example, alt+1 it doesn’t trigger my action (weapon skill 1) bound to key 1.

Same problem here, I’ve switched both my mouse and keyboard so it’s not a problem on my end that’s causing it.

How does anet even create more bugs than they fix?

Exact same issue for me. Had my heal bound to CTRL + MOUSE5 and one of my F1 keys bound to MOUSE5 but now when I try to use my heal it does both the F1 ability and my heal.

Shift+mouse button always activates mouse button binds. There’s nowhere else to bind my commands, please fix!

I have also my hotkeys to ctrl and mouse 3, 4, 5 on my engineer. My mouse 3 key is the healing skill and the ctrl+mouse 3 my utility 1 skill (flame thrower kit). When i use the utility skill also uses my healing skill

I never said that you should fix it, it was just additional information for ANet, nothing else.

SAME problem.

I noticed this immediately as I use Ctrl + MOUSE3 for my weapon skill 5, which is a little further away to the left hand, it makes it much easier to rapidly cast Barrage or Call of the Wild on my Ranger.

Reproducible Scenario for the Devs

Bind MOUSE3 to Healing (6) for quick healing.

Bind CTRL + MOUSE3 to Weapon (5) for easy access to Barrage or Call of the Wild on a Ranger (as an example).

Now press CTRL + MOUSE 3 and you will notice that BOTH the Weapon (5) skill and the healing skill (6) briefly flashes (pulsing effect on the icon) while activating the hotkey.

Upon releasing the hotkey CTRL + MOUSE3, it is the healing (MOUSE3) which is activated.

Further, pressing SHIFT + MOUSE3 , which is NOT HOTKEYED, will also activate the MOUSE3 (healing) skill which is NOT using shift.

So essentially it appears that the modifier keys (shift/alt/ctrl) no longer work properly with the mousewheel button.

This is a pretty major bummer as combat in Guild Wars 2 requires many skills to be available in a very efficient manner. I hope ArenaNet can address this bug soon and this feedback helps

Sadly, today is the first time I’ve signed in in about two months. I saw all the updates to Ele weapons, which I was waiting for and am stoked about, and now can’t play until resolved. Suuuuper sad, please fix quick! =(

I use a mix of 2 mouse buttons and shift to attunement swap so this bug has pretty much destroys my ability to play elementalist well in competitive gameplay. I hope this gets resolved soon because I can’t hope to do WvW until then.

Still an issue in the latest patch.

The new build (as of writing) doesn’t fix this.

I am having the same problem. Dodge is bound to M4, Earth attunement to Alt+M4. When I switch to earth attunement, it also dodges. This was not the case before.

I’ll bump this once more. It’s a pressing issue.

Same here. I Use Middle Mouse for Heal and ALT + Middle Mouse for Elite.
The game doesn’t seem to accept combinations with alt/ctrl or so.
CTRL + 7 is for the game as i only press 7.

No. The issue is overlapping functions being called when any key bind is a MOUSE button along with CTRL, SHIFT. Although I stated my heal was overlapping my elite is too since it is also a MOUSE button along with CTRL.

I rebound the same things to SHIFT + MOUSE and still had the same issue. It appears it is related to MOUSE binds as CTRL + a key (example 2) works correctly without overlapping on the 2.

I had been using mouse 5 for skill 3 and shift + mouse 5 for skill 4. After this patch, every time I try to use skill 4, it simultaneously presses both skills 3 and 4, hence it triggers skill 3 instead of 4.

The bug only happens with a mouse key. If I bind a skill with a [non-mouse key] and another with shift + [that key], it works fine.

When I hit “left shift + mouse button 5” for elite skill, it auto-triggers my utility skill 3.
When I hit “left shift + mouse button 3” for utility skill 1, it auto-triggers my healing skill.

I got my weapon skills bound like this:
1 – Q
2 – Mouse 4
3 – Mouse 5
4 – Alt + Mouse 4
5 – Alt + Mouse 5

Now whenever i try to use #4 or #5 my char is using #2 or #3 which basically makes the game unplayable for me.

Broken for me also. Not playing the game until this is fixed. Definite deal breaker for me. There’s quite a few other games to play right now in the meanwhile.

I have the same problem here….and i am playing Gw2 because i like this Game even sometimes to much Lag made me bored as well in WvW !!!

but now if i can’t play because all my skill is on my Hotkey i won’t lost my time…

Winter is coming…. and since that problem is not fix i won’t play Gw2 again….

Very true but the reaction of players should indicate the level of frustration this particular bug is causing. It is significantly hampering my gameplay to the extent that I feel less motivation to play.

was hopeful with the game update today that the problem was fixed but it’s not.
