2 to 3 times a week I find myself going through Kessex Hills, leveling a toon, or helping someone else with something. And invariably I see in map chat people YELLING at other players “Don’t kill the toxifiers” and “the rewards are better if this event fails”.
WHY IN THE NAME OF THE SIX GODS, would the devs put an event that spawns champs on failure in a low level area (human no less which I imagine is a pretty common first character choice). I see these “PRO-ELITE-GODLY” champ farmers getting so hostile towards players who are new to the game or for whatever reason don’t like being COMMANDED on how to play a game they bought. Either the rewards need to be increased for success on that event, or the champs need to be demoted, to something that yields less reward. I Like helping new players, and I think this change would do just that. Its a shame to see a level 2x player on his first run through an area treated with such hostility. seriously I don’t know how much time the devs spend ingame, but really they should at least be made aware by someone what kind of impact these things have on new players when the “ELITES” start farming low level areas. REWARD FOR FAILURE IS FAIL.
