Hi All,

If this is treading on any other post, please do not hesitate to merge/move it.

Anyway, to the point. I recently logged back in after a couple of weeks absence and although logging in to a new update is always a lovely thing, I’m having some trading post issues. What used to take around 5 seconds to load now seems to take a few minutes if not at all. Its not affecting my gameplay a lot but it means tasks that should take a couple of minutes – such as selling some unwanted items – are now taking half an hour <.

Ive tried what fixes I could find on this forum such as switching the language back and forth as well as trying to delete data files and restarting the game, however these have not proved successful.

I am running the game on Mac if that makes any difference at all.
Please dont hesitate to ask for more info if I havent described the situation enough.

Thanks,
Aphiroth

If this isn’t help:

https://forum-en.gw2archive.eu/forum/support/mac/Basic-Mac-Beta-Client-Troubleshooting/first#post2480238

And this didn’t help:

1. Open your trading post (leave this open until finished)
2. Open your options panel
3. Change the language to French
4. Wait for the trading post to reload in French
5. Change the language back to English (anglais)
6. Test trading post

You may be having a connection issue somewhere.

Make sure to test by disabling antivirus/firewalls, even on modem/router.

This would probably be better on the Mac forum since we get slightly different issues than pc.

Post back when you can with system type, complete specs, and OS, plus how you are connected to the Internet (wired/wireless) and type of Internet (private/public).

Hi all,

I started playing this game a month ago, and I started to experience the Trading Post ever since then. I have Mac 2013, so I was confident that my hardware and software is compliance. However, after researching online, I realized that there really isn’t any solution for this issue! So I put some of my IT skills into action… =D

The reason trading post don’t start is because Mac user didn’t shut down the system, and Guild War 2’s processes remained running in the back ground from last session.
I used the “Activity Monitor” that came with my Mac and noticed the following processes get launched upon running the game…
– wineserver
– CVMCompiler
– cookied
– (two instances of) Guild Wars 2

Based on observation, cookied is a process triggered by CVMCompiler. When you quit the game, there are two processes that hang which causes your next launch to have failing Trading Post issue. CVMCompiler and cookied, these two services tend to hang after you close the game.

WARNING: Please exercise the following carefully. Ending the wrong process may cause your system to behave unexpectedly, and may experience data lose. This is simply sharing methods, I do not hold any responsibility for any consequences that you will experience.

To fix this, simply “end” the process.
To end the process, select the process in Activity Monitor; then select “Quit Process”; then on the confirmation pop up, select “Quit”.
If the process remain, try again, but select “Force Quit” instead of Quit.
Once you see the process disappear from the list, then you are done!
Launch GW2 and TP works now!

I have been doing this for the past 2 weeks already, and every time I experienced the trading post issue, I exit the game and end the processes…and it worked~

Another Solution is

go to Desktop and press cmd+shift +g

go to /users/“username”/Library/Application Support

here you change username by your name

Delete all the Folder Guild Wars 2 is only 7.2 mb

and open again Guild Wars 2 and you will download something new that is missing
and then in the game you can open the Trading Post

I have this trouble since the game was released … more than one year!!!

I hope ANET will fix this problem.
