Mesmer illusionary Berseker bug report 2.0
Premium feature for full working, full damage berserker. Or it will be never fixed.
Rift gets free in a few days, and I smell a big bleeding of players… a lot of them mesmer GS users.
I’ve observed this new bug on my hubs Mesmer (haven’t played mine recently). But yes, I can confirm that this is happening… They just randomly stand there and do nothing until the baddie is dead or they are. It’s not consistent, but it is occurring.
Well lets hope no one uses GS in pvp anymore since its that broken… And really… Anet people are putting bug reports that one of their weapon skills isn’t attacking at all and you guys can’t respond. :/
Is Anet telling me I shall not use illusions as a mesmer or even better I shall not play my mesmer?
First the berserker is behaving very badly and no fix in months (and it is an issue since mid November 2012!), but then the bouncing thing appears which affects us in a not-so-nice way. And to top it off sometimes our illusion do nothing, just stand there and wait until they are killed.

iZerker is bugged to the point of being unusable. inconsistent hit totals/damage and the occasional failure to even attack.
couple this with the bounce attack bug ruining skill2, the mesmer greatsword is mostly bank-worthy at the moment…..

Fixed that for ya I tried making GS useable in COF but as soon as I saw it do that on a mob that I spawned… I knew that until they fixed it completely… There is absolutely no hope for this weapon… Anet are you seriously not looking into this?
They may be looking into it, we just may not be getting a post about it. This link was just updated a few days ago.

Lol….I get ya……..but it is our only true range weapon with decent damage, so i still think its the best mesmer weapon for Dragons/World bosses (mindless skill1 auto).
oh, and the 25% of the time it gets the amount of hits its supposed to, iZerker is a good mob-tagger.
so that’s almost 2 uses.

Honestly with how long its taking them to address the bad damage and it missing sometimes. I wouldn’t be so sure
Since my primary character is a mesmer, I can say that I have seen this occur. But with so many possible reasons that it could be doing that, I just assumed it was something I was doing incorrectly.
I will say, I think they need to work on the pathing of the illusionary leap skill. That illusion seems to get stopped by a 1mm pebble on the ground. Steps and hill or bumps in the terrain seem to be a problem.

no problem…….it impossible for a mesmer player to not think of the myriad of skill/trait bugs that plaque the class. But since we’re in a better situation than some other classes………………….and we aren’t warriors who get the lionshare of dev posts/attention (honestly its sickening)……………….don’t expect a non-generic response or an actual fix to any our our bugs anytime soon. and even if they attempt to fix the bug and say they did on the release notes, it more than likely will not work or will create a new bug (my clones still attack untargeted white/yellow mobs)
that is the history we have seen thus far. there is so much good about the game, but the quality control/bug-fixing team stinks. we have enough new content…….focus on the core play mechanics now (skill/trait bugs). until the bugs are reduced significantly, class balancing is futile.

If this is a bug, the warrior skill uses the exact same functionality as the illusion’s skill.
I think it was a stealth nerf to warriors, and it also effected mesmers.
Prior to the “stealth nerf” I could always kill an Acolyte with one whirling attack while doing CoF path 1 on my warrior.
After the nerf, I had to pay much more attention to my positioning, since the hits are almost triggering x o x x with o being a gap in damage…. and the Acolytes no longer died in one whirling attack (without the usage of additional skills like on my mark or for great justice)
If Illusionary berserkers are summoned at the same exact distance away from a target every time it is used, I can see why this would be a problem.
The illusion probably passes through its target during the ‘o’ on the x o x x.
If I remember right the first time berserker has been bugged (in November 2012) there was a problem with the whirl which also affected the warrior.
They fixed the berserker in December.. (so I think the warrior issue as well)
Then at the end of January it became buggy again… they told us they cannot find out what is happening… if you as a warrior also have this kind of bug (again), it might be the same or a similar issue of what happened before..
