I was on a turret the entire fight, defense phases included (throwing buffs at the megalaser and cleansing poison for people cleaning up tequatls fingers) and after killing the dragon (right after daily reset) didn’t receive any of the karma or dragon chests for getting the dragon down each 25% like everyone else, but just got to open the final chest.

I feel like people who are competent at the turrets shouldn’t have to abandon their stations in order to maximize their rewards, that’s all.

Yup i thought everyone who contributed to the fight ( defending turrets/using turrets/fighting teq) was supposed to get rewarded?

I was not even on a turret….. I was right next to him, attacking his foot.

I think the rewards are just buggy, regardless of where/how you contributed to the battle.

Same problem, I was also attacking taco, only got a generic rare reward and not any of the dragon chests even though taco was defeated.

same thing happened to me just now. i only received my daily bonus chest, and the large dragon chest, but i did not receive the extra chests for every 25% despite defending turrets and contributing from the start of the fight: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=5fRpNjRsO14&t=83

Was that the only time you’ve done it for the day? Just wondering if maybe every 25% is actually once per day.

This happened to me as well tonight during DB’s kill. I started out in dps group and flipped to help with fingers. Around 1 min in a turret op died behind me and i switched to that the rest of the fight. At the end I got 1 bonus daily chest and the dragon chest while most everyone else got rewards for each 25%.

You guys are lucky you even got rewards.
I did it yesterday where event failed at 60% HP and i got no 25% chest.
Today I did it, failed at 40% and still not even one chest.
I defended turrets, and DPS’d teq after laser. That should qualify for chests right?

got it past 75% being in the dps zerg, but got no chest

Be nice to get a response, been asking myself what Im doing wrong to not see a chest at 75, since ive not been lucky enough to get into a server (overflow) that actually organised (not going to sit in sparkfly for hours hoping that its going to be this time), if its a bug be nice to know thats its being looked into, or let us know what we did wrong to not get one at all.

a guild member told me that every time they’ve done turret defense duty, they didn’t get the bonus dragon chests, and that’s exactly what i was doing.

that person said from what they noticed, if you only kill fingers and fight the adds on the side without participating in the defending the battery/megalaser events, you won’t get the 25% credit chests.

Just done this again, and no chest even tho my party member did recieve credit for fight, i was next to him the whole time except in watery grave where Teq like to put me, went there 3 times, so what i have to do jump on top of laser hoping the game registers im there doing something?

The first time i was on turret defence, thought maybe that was issue, so went into main zerg ball the last 2 times, 2nd time followed commander, only wp once defended laser /no chest. 3rd time as i said on commander and team mate, and still nothing.

This is my last attempt until something is changed in how they work out the rewards. Also this thread is over a day old and still no response.

This isn’t just a problem with Tequatl. I’m experiencing it with every boss that offers daily rewards. Regardless of my character or setup I am not getting the daily chest for the world bosses at all.

Just failed the event with dragon down to 65%. Was attcking the dragon for most of the event, yet no bonus dragon chest. Half the people on the event got a bonus chest, half didn’t. Not very motivating. :-)

Had this happen to me earlier today, got pulled under to the watery grave at the end(i got the sunken treasure achievement) and killed by a shark resulting in having to WP and run back, only to find that i didn’t receive a dragon chest.

I did receive the 3 small chests for 25, 50 and 75%, but also i didnt have the daily update for participating in the Tequatl fight or the “Slaughter in the Swamp” achievement. So apparently i didnt attend the fight?

The reward chests are actually for getting event credit in each of the megalaser phases, even if there are other things you can do which are useful (big example: if the fingers are wiped out during the megalaser phase, there won’t be any poison AoE’s dropped until Teq recovers from his stun – this can be more valuble to the team than one or two extra players at each battery)

Basically, make sure you tag each defence event before it ends.

I also did turret defence and only received the standard chest at the end of out successful win in crystal desert… And I have video proof of the whole thing, I’m really sad to hear I got gipped for doing a good job and sticking with the plan.

I really don’t know what to do to get rewards (and yes I know we need to participate in each phase to get boxes)…
Some fights I was attacking Tequatl → no reward
Some fights I was defending turrets → no reward
Some fights I was using the turrets → no reward
I was always participating in the defence events of batteries / megalaser and getting event reward for that.

I have the same problem. Just kileld him on Piken 10 min ago.

I was on turrets the whole time and got no dragon chests. 1 one normal reward chest that popped up on the right after the event was done (1 rare bow in it) and i got to open the big chest on the shore (greens and blues in it) But no extra dragon chests rewards or anything.

I got the Kill teq achivement.

As people mentioned, the game calculates giving out the daily dragon chests by participating in the battery defense events. Although probably intended, it’s kind of a poor design given that this screws over the turreters or anybody else cleaning up fingers etc. during the battery phase.
