So ummm I have never seen this but my Rangers pet just died… /concerned face/

I think I heard it can happen if your pet takes enough falling damage.

This always makes me sad when it happens to my pet as I cannot revive it.

I know that if you swap pets to another and back it will be alive again, but it is also a way to make yourself petless! Your pet will stay there and dead for any travelers that happen by it as long as you do not swap pets to despawn it. You can run around and even waypoint elsewhere in the zone and as long as you do not leave the zone you can finally be free of your pet!

It’s also funny leaving it dead someplace and seeing map chat of someone asking why there is a dead animal on the road.
