Hello, I crafted Sunrise last night and equip it right away (didn’t do anything weird to it like transmute w/e). However when I look at the character selecting screen I don’t see the medal for it. Is this a bug?

According to what I read here, it is either:
A) Neither Sunrise or Twilight count towards the medal. You need to combine Sunrise+Twilight to make Eternity before you will get the medal.
B) Or, maybe Sunrise/twilight need bug fixing before you will get the medal.

Eh I hope it’s not case A, because it would be really messed up. I have no itention of going twilight, and even if I ever do I know I will not combine them into eternity. Do we have an official response on this?

that wouldn’t be fair, I’m close to Twilight and already stressed out, the thought of having to do it again is unbearable

Ok this is not game breaking like many other bugs, but it would b nice if its fixed, bascially after I aquired legendary and equiped it, the medal that I suppose to unlock on account medal section is stil blanked out, making a legendary was easy so I would like to see that medal even though it doesnt affect my gameplay at all.

Can we have an answer for this please?

It was answered about a week ago from the dev’s. I am not looking for the post, if you want to see it word for word you can do that effort

But they said it is a bug, a fix is in the work and will be released “soon” although they do not know “how soon.” The dev also thanked everyone for their patience

I made the “Twilight” legendary gs a few weeks ago and i was soo happy. then the moment I’m taking it on and baaaaam NO AV.

made me really sad because work of months are in this item and then I didnt got the AV.

PLS fix this! i posted it already in the german forums (no mod/dev answer) and im not the only one with this problem.

For some reason Twilight and Sunrise don’t count, only their combined Eternity does. Definitely needs to be fixed, though. . .

a dev responded a while ago stating that it was a bug and a fix is in the works. I actually just made my twilight 2 days ago and I got the legendary collector achievement but i didn’t get the login screen achievement.

So it’s like they partially fixed it. tbh I wouldn’t expect it to be actually fixed until middle of january or february when they push the new patch/update that adds new legendaries. I would expect them, at that time, to go back and recode the existing legendaries to make it Twilight/Sunrise count

Eternity does count as a Legendary for the Account Medals section of the character select screen, whereas the two Legendary greatswords Sunrise and Twilight do not.

granted we may not see the actual fix for months and months and months. I am hoping that when they introduce the new legendary’s in January or February they go back and fix this. All it requires is adding Twilight/Sunrise to the existing coding for the achievement, which isn’t hard to do, but when they need to go back and add the new legendaries to it they have no excuse not to update it at that time.

This question is also raised nearly every few days, if not every week, by people. Which is good because it lets Anet know that people are constantly frustrated about it and that it is unfair

Most expensive legendary weapon is not legendary;/ Bug not fixed after 5 months. It is frustrating.

I Argee its wrong and still not fixed makes me not even feel like finishing mine…

does anyone have any issue when you equip legendary not showing in your achievements?

You need to make Eternity to got achievement. GL with farming :P

Please check this out. I would love my legendary to actually count as legendary with legendary badge.

Neither twilight nor sunrise count towards the legendary stat, even though both are legendary weapons. Now if you get both of them, throw them into the mystic forge and get the eternity out of it – it will count towards the legendary stat.

These are bugs. I’ve seen official response from ANet about it. They will fix them in future.

Obviously it’s not a game breaker bugs so they are low priority.

Has there ever been any sort of justification for this bug? They’re two of the most difficult legendaries to acquire but then you get shafted for the achievement.

Im also seeking a response to this.

On a serious note im sure you will get it sorted.. i cant see something like this going on, as it would surely make people not want one.

Actually Eternity is a crappy legendary. It has less effect than the other two greatswords.

Matter of fact, why would anyone waste all their resources for the same weapons basically many times. Change it up have legendary bow and greatsword etc. Have to work on 3 greatswords is just plain dumb. Eternity is a waste.

Give the badge for twilight and sunrise.

Sorry don’t want Eternity. Sunrise and Twilight are better individual GS. Plus the smart move would be get different weapon sets for legendary than getting multiple of the same weapon with just different effects.

Twilght only GS I need. Next legendary will be Bow. Not wasting my effort on two of the same weapon set.

I recently got a good deal with eternity(just in terms of pricing), so I sold my sunrise and plus a little extra golds to get my eternity. Please fix the eternity effects bug!!! Don’t make me feel I have made a poor deal, Anet!!!
