No more 'preview' for all armor types?
Never have I heard a player complain about being able to preview armor, it is a total step backwards. They really need to start beta testing future updates on actual players if they want to get real feedback, that could help them from getting so many kitteny posts on the forums. Totally disagree with this hidden update.
From a player’s point of view this “fix” is entirely unnecessary and hinders game play. Please revert it. Clipping happens anyhow and isn’t going to go away either in this game.
Now almost everytime I want to preview something, I have to exit the game. I thought developers and designers wanted to limit these kinds of interruptions.
I guess we’ll be seeing much more ping spam in /say, as instead of previewing something, one will have to relog and subsequently copy the code from GW2DB.

I used to play with previews all the damn time. Like ALL THE TIME.
Give it back please. Why are you hurting your own game? I dont care if some textures get messed up every once in a blue moon. I want to preview all armor types!
This is a quality of life feature. Removing it is just adding annoyance to your player base.
You aren’t going to find any opinion that doesn’t disagree with your decision.
Texture errors? We can live with that. Don’t remove a QoL feature because you have some odd and rare texturing issues in a PREVIEW window.

There are so many actual clipping errors in the game with long hairs and shields or greatswords, that this is really a bad excuse to remove this feature.
Best MMOs are the ones that never make it. Therefore Stargate Online wins.
i really see no point of removing it, please bring it back.
some times i loot somthing, and i want to preview it to see if its good for my other char or not. and now i need to put in bank every time so i can transfer it to my other char TO PREVIEW IT, that’s make no sense!!
This needs to return. There was no call for it’s fixing or removal from the playerbase, so why remove a good feature?
If you are so concerned with clipping and texture issues when previewing different armor types together, then simply force it so that the window only displays armor of one type of armor at a time, either light, medium or heavy.
Armor of the same type already causes graphical errors.
This change was made at a terribly inconvenient time for me as I’ve been wanting to roll an asura character lately but didn’t know which armor class I best like the look of on the snarky little geniuses. Now, to preview that armor in the Heart of the Mists, I have to take three different characters through the tutorial? Blegh.
Also, this change does hurt the game in demonstrable ways. As Guild Wars 2 is aesthetically focused, if I pick up an exotic item, I need to be able to preview it to help determine its price. The skin of item absolutely affects its value.
Armor of the same type already causes graphical errors.
I read this and I got an idea. A nude walk for preview awareness. If I can’t see clothes, there’s no point in wearing them in the city
