Guild Wars 2

My Norn character’s personal story is stuck at “Forging a Legend” -> “A Pup’s Illness” -> “Speak to Shaman Gamli at the Wolf Shrine” step, and wouldn’t advance.

Is your character at least Level 10? Your character must be Level 10 to advance the story.

She’s level 30.

I’m having the same problem and my character is now level 35. If I’m in one of the cities, I’ll have the green arrows guiding me on how to get to wayfarer foothills. Once I get there there is nothing. Also if I look at the main map there is no green star for the next instance or part of the story. The story has “Speak to Shaman Gamli” and there is a tick beside it saying that this part is done apparently although I don’t remember doing it. Tried speaking to Shaman gamli too and nothing out of the ordinary there when you speak to him. Sent in a support ticket but no reply yet….. Guess its another one of the latest bugs

I’m in the same boat too.
Asura storyline.
After the recent update, my story no longer has any markers or indication where to go to next to advance, and I can’t figure out for the life of me how to activate the story quest marker.
Hopefully a patch is coming soon to fix this bug.

On the side note – new to this game, and I love your work team, what i have experienced so far has been awesome, keep up the good work.

Yeah its a sad state of affairs. Can’t play my character’s story and no answer to ticket too. Guess Anet is swarmed up in tickets regarding all sorts of bugs since featurepack release. One could ask what was testing and Q&A teams doing during development of the featurepack.

I did get a reply eventually and got told to submit an in-game bug report as that gives them extra information plus to post here.. which i’d already done. Since then they also told me that some things like this are quite complex and take a while to fix.

Nice to know they’ve read and replied but yes still frustrating because it holds you back with that character.

I keep hoping for a fix and I hope it comes soon.

It could be because of the instant lvl 20 item. Did you use this item? I did and I am having this same issue as well. There could be some chain of events leading up to this.

If I remember correctly…

Interact with the shrine. There’s no indication that you can press F to interact, but it allows interaction and allows the story to continue…

Meanwhile I’m stuck on the level 40 Norn storyline with an InstanceCreate error!

Same problem here, I cannot start “awakening”. I need speak with Mender Aviala but don’t start the short clip, so no istance.
I tried to group with a friend, but does not allow me to progress.

I got this bug today after using lvl 20 scroll, now I cannot advance my story. Is there a fix yet? it’s been 4 months
EDIT: I fixed this by guesting in a another world and coming back

Just a heads up:
Its March 2015 and the bug is still not fixed.

It breaks when there are a lot of players in the story instance. It happens when somone uses a bank golem and they level up with tomes from their bank. They go through the events too quickly which breaks it. When the servers reset it fixes it.
