Here’s my screens of the crafting not working. I can make them smaller if you can’t see it clearly…

Okay, so I have noticed that for over a month now when I do any daily events such as gathering or kill progress it will give me the updates toward my completion as normal. However, after about 50% or less, it stops updating me on how much progress I’ve made. Furthermore, I can gather well over a hundred resources and I will NEVER get the completion reward ever. Is there something I’m not getting or is it my account?

Your problem sounds unique. I’ve never had any issues with dailys on the Fergusons Crossing server.

I am on Ehmry’s Bay. And yes, all my guild mates say they have no problem. Yet I can kill enemies for hours or easily gather 200 resources and never will I get closer to completion…

Those 3 also worked for me. It’s just crafting and veteran that aren’t.

These two are also not working for me….. and the daily reset on me as I was about to finish killing the 13 different things to complete my daily.

wasn’t working for me either as of around 9 or 10ish eastern time killed at least 1 veteran without it updating and crafted numerous items with/without experience gain that didn’t count, although to be fair dodge, gather and event seemed to work fine

As the title states i am still unable to finish my dailys since patch (only the newly added dailys). i make sure i do my dailys every day (hence daily) and that has screwed me up since patch release. i went to bed last night hopping the issue would be resolved but to no avail. same thing this mid morning. Cant do as listed….

Today’s daily is about dodging attacks, reviving allies, etc..

You likely have the same problem that I and a few other people do. If so, it’s just a display issue. If you notice that your dailies don’t seem to match others’ around you, then you have this bug. If you ignore the ones displayed for you and do the ones that everyone else seems to have, you will get your daily. I’m in NA and I had “Veteran Kills” and “Crafter” for today’s daily, but they would never increment. Others didn’t have those, but had kill variety and healing. I was able to get my daily by doing those two instead. So I got my daily, but the display still says I have only 60% completion. Hope this all makes sense.

Check the date/time on your computer and ensure it’s correct. That seems to be what’s causing the problem.

They added “crafting” into the dailies now? I don’t craft…don’t particularly like it. Why on earth did they add it?

Just as bad as having to do pvp dailies/monthlies when you do not pvp. I will never finish at this rate.

you have to craft 10 things go pick up 20 bolts of jute off the tp for a few silvers and you’re done its really NBD

Yes the problem is even worse… you’re giving false information. The daily is not the same for everyone when it changes.

Daily Crafting and Daily Veteran Slayer are not working for me either. I tried discovering a recipe on my level 0 armorsmithing character: nothing. A friend and I wiped out a supply camp in WvW full of “Veteran Scouts,” “Veteran Guards,” and the “Veteran Guild Supervisor,” none of which counted.

My guildies said they just refined some jute and got the Daily Crafting done.

I guess I don’t get my laurel today because of these 2 bugged categories. Please remove them until they are fixed.

I spoke with a Laurel Vendor and did not receive any progression towards my daily. This is day number 2 where the daily system is bugged and does not give me any achievement points toward my account.

The first was having the crafting daily and veteran slayer daily not work. Please fix this arena net. I am now out points that I can never get back.

Tarnished Coast is the server I am on. I have sent screen shots via the bug report system in game. I would appreciate some laurels in the least, that I cannot recover.

Been having the same problems as well. Yesterday it was veteran slayer and crafting for me not working as well, today it’s daily healer and laurel vendor not advancing.

Having same problem yesterday couldn’t do 50 kills and visit laurel vendor. while today it’s the combo finisher and kill variety that i can’t complete. All i want to do is finish the daily so i can get my mystic coin and try out the new laurel reward system.

I am thoroughly confused now… . it appears different players have different daily tasks?

Here is a list of my daily tasks for achievment as of 4pm PST Tuesday Jan 29th.

Daily Veteran Slayer
Daily Dodger
Daily Crafter
Daily Gatherer

So, my questions are:

1. Do I have the correct daily events?

2. My original question was when I killed a Veteran wurm in Wayfarer’s foothills that was associated with a dynamic event, the kill did not count towards my daily. However, when I killed a free roaming veteran, the kill did count. Was this intended to work this way? (original post got merged into here by moderator)

jeffrey, you must also be informed that this bug can also cause game crashes when achieving the daily’s requirements while not actually showing any progress. I’ve had the game crash on me three times, all three listing the daily as the cause of the crash. Meanwhile, I still have zero progress on any of my dailies.

However I did get the reward for yesterday’s after having my game crash. It seems like it’s trying to show the pop-up on the daily progress, but fails and crashes the game.

I did my veteran slaying in Cursed Shore and the noticed that the veterans that were part of DE (the vet risen abom at the end of Plinx for one) did not count, every free roaming vet did however

Yes it did. Several other players in the zone confirmed the same bug.

Mm.. killed a few vets and only two registered for me. I was beginning to think I had to get the last hit to get the vet kill to count but then they would mean kill stealing is possible now.

I submitted a support ticket and attached both ArenaNet.log and VerifyResults.log (after trying a repair).

My question is: will we be reimbursed for missing out the laurels from the daily (currently the only way I can get the extra agony resistance for lvl 40+ fractals)?

The ending of Plinx chain has a Champion, not a Veteran.

I did my vets in Orr and some of them were part of events, every vet counted for my daily.

None of those are part of the dailies for today. Please double-check both your system time and time zone.

I did, clock is working as intended , the day was wrong though. :P

After the update earlier 3 of my achievements are not working.

Daily Kill Variety, Daily Healer, and Daily Dodger.

Dodger was working before the update. I finished events beforehand as well. And gathering was updating.

So after talking to other people in game, it appears I’m stuck on yesterdays dailies.

Mind telling me how to do that?

I know this sounds silly, but did you check the year? I was also having this issue (and I couldn’t view any website) and then realized my year was set to 2059.

Fixing my year also fixed viewing any website issue. I think it’s also worth noting that this issue happened after one of my crashes out of GW2. I’m not saying they are all connected, but after finding out the dailies are reading my computer time and it sounds like the game is crashing on daily rewarding..

Current events. Only having trouble with daily vet slayer. Receiving results for the other dailies. The other day my issue was receiving combo kills though that may have been through others not understanding combos.
Server-time is 9:09, my computer time is 11:09, date and everything else is correct. The time is not the issue.

As mentioned above, check your system time and time zone.

I have tried this & it made no difference. Yes, my system date was out by 4 days. No, changing it now makes no difference.

On a lighter note, this advice reminds me of The IT Crowd. It’s almost a “Have you tried turning it off and on again?” moment.

Daily crafting and Daily Veteran is not working for me… I have tried crafting gear that I don’t get experience from on my main and gear on an alt that I get experience off of…

I have killed over 25 Veterans and not one point towards my daily.

Fix your game. Try testing it out before giving it to the mass population. Fail. Hard fail.

Just got a random Daily that is called Daily Laurel Vendor it say something about visit the laurel vendor or you sought out a laurel vendor in any major cities. I visit them and it did not finish the daily x.x! Everyone says it a bug and that i should report it so yeah o _o

Since my post the issue has been resolved and I received my daily. Thanks to whoever fixed it.

If you’re using a Windows PC, click on the clock in the lower right, then click on “Change date and time settings.” Make sure the date, time, and time zone are all correct. I haven’t used a Mac in 5 years, so I’m afraid I can’t help with setting the time on MacOS.

Please check the program logic ASAP. I also had the issue, that the dailys would be swapped at midnight LOCAL time (which means my computer clock is set to the right date) yet the new dailies have long been active at that point. This is just bad code style to use the local clock for ANYTHING except for showing the hour. You do have the server time available on the client and you can estimate the time zone on the client, so why don’t you use those two informations as you are supposed to do?
