If you are unable to breakdown the gates fast enough (or if you accidentally trigger that room’s event) and the researcher inside dies, the fractal bugs out and you can no longer progress.
this happened to our group and was VERY frustrating, it was our 3rd fractal, and we were unable to progress to the end boss of this fractal or the final boss fractal.
Id also like to note that in dredge fractal, they have increased the number of dredge AND they dont de-aggro, meaning they chase you forever. This is a stupid change and both of these problems need to be adressed.
I want to add that this happened to me. Some of the engineers died and the door wouldn’t ope, so we couldn’t get the last cooling rod. We ended up using a super buffed warrior to get through the burning area anyway and activate the switch. We fought the final boss and when he died we WERE NOT teleported to the treasure chest and we couldn’t continue to the next fractal. It was extremely frustrating to get to that fractal have all the problems we did and have our progress denied by all the bugs.
