Okay this is definitely a bug or glitch and I just want to report it.

The entire game is sped up to an unbelievable speed.
I’m zipping across the map in the blink of an eye.
If I stand still I am constantly vibrating as if the character animations are happening all at once.

I asked in Map chat if anyone else was experiencing this and at least one other person said they were.

I feel like the Flash.

I had a few seconds (well, maybe a second or two) of this a couple of times right after loading into a new map. But, as stated, it only lasts a short time. It would be like saving up all animations for a specific time, then playing them all at once in fast-forward.

Weird.

I had the same problem after logging in right now. Already happened in the character select screen so at first I thought “ok that’s weird” but thought it was my pc acting wrong. After loading a map I still had the same problem, even moving the character around happened in super fast speed. Logged out and in again and it worked then. Strangest bug I’ve ever experienced.

I’m having the problem too! And someone already accused me of haxxoring, so would be nice to get a fix.

Edit: Logging out helped.

This has not happened to me, but a friend of mine had it happen to her a few times, some times lasting for several minutes. Could not believe it at first, but then I saw her pop from one side of LA to the other in seconds.

I’ve now noticed it on several characters. It seems to happen (mostly, if not always) in LA when I log-in/Waypoint/Portal there.

Maybe it has something to do with the -StreamingClient (though I’ve had that enabled since Beta release), or some of the new data in/for LA. /shrug

Yep, happened when I logged into LA today. I just relogged and it fixed it.

I do not think it has something to do with the -streamingclient, command line argument, I have it enabled and have not gotten this superspeed bug (yet)

streamingclient is now the default, the command line argument isn’t needed, but it shouldn’t directly be responsible either way.

Well, it might have to do with the changes they made when enabling -streamingclient by default (I’ve had -streamingclient enabled since beta release). There are some posts about changes; they may, or may not, have anything to do with it.

Whatever it turns out to be, I hope they fix it soon, as well as the longer load times that all occurred at the same time.

I hope they fix whatever’s going on because I’ve been posting all over bugs fourm and the game is still loading slow for my even in the character select screen, it all started today.

I only had it when I logged in and made a post about it myself

relogging fixed some issues but the speed went on its own after a few seconds

can’t say I didn’t enjoy it though
it was ridiculous fun and did any of you guys try mining a metal node?

This is great to hear, It did take me a couple of hours to actually find out how gamebreaking this issue is.

And something I though of today is how are the ping for the people getting this, is it normal or does it skyrocket(1500 avg) or just bigger than normal?

Ping have nothing to do with the issue after doing some testing

I was just coming to bug this; glad its just not me. Mine lasted until I started attacking a mob.

It also happens after alt-tabbing back to the game.

happened to me 2 days ago. You run like the flash and the npcs are moving super fast. Happened to a guildie as well.

been happening to me for 2 days now but mine comes after a ping spike to around 1k every few mins then 30 sec later i move super fast for a min like the game is catching up rendered game unplayable for me

Got hit by this too a few minutes back. Ping was on the slow side (About 300ms) but apart from that and the speed everything seemed normal. Game Client Version is 50.005

Thank goodness it wasn’t just me. I just sent a panic ticket on fear of getting banned. What a relief.

I dont know how to put it, its the second time it happens to me, but basically I just logged in and my character would move at 100x faster speed (same with my characters animations), I could see other people around me and they seemed fine/standing still. I dont know if it has happened before to anyone else but I logged off right after in case anyone would report me for “speed hacking” or what not. I recorded it and could upload it in case none has experienced this before. When I came back again everything was fine.

I have noticed something like that recently. Just after I would log in, so soon the loading screen ends I’m able to see things moving fast (anims and stuff) but only for 1 or 2 secs, so not even time to move or do anything, but it has been happening almost every time I log in game.

I have this, as well, every since the patch that caused ‘SuperSpeed’. I’ve found it happens whenever I alt-tab out of, and back into the game, though, rather than whenever I portal or waypoint, as I first thought.

It’s somewhat annoying, but if it can not be easily fixed, I guess I can live with it.

Edit: I just now loaded the game, and while waiting for the zone (DR) to load, did not alt-tab, as I usually do….still experienced the second or two of sped-up animations, so it’s not just when I alt-tab. Perhaps, it has something to do with how much time elapses before the actual ‘play’ screen appears. I’m not sure.

This has happened to me a couple times. twice when i was streaming. Was pretty funny.

at the end of the video you see me going back to normal speed. so it is correcting itself.

Oh I just thought something.. by chance has someone measured FPS when the issue occurs? I wonder if it’s FPS going crazy or if it’s dropping frames during it. Just trying to wonder how client and server would react to it with the timers going crazy.

fps and ping are normal when this happens. It happens practically everytime i log on now.

This just happened to me, for about 5minutes. Just so you guys know its still happening

I had this earlier as well. – as in about 2 hrs ago….
I changed characters and it was still happening…

Everyone moving 200mph, no map chat, but “say” seemed to be map chat… Lasted until I closed game for about 15 minutes and relaunched and it was “fixed”

happened to me a week or so ago, I moved across three maps in about 15 seconds each :o my friend told me I’d better reset or people might think I was using a cheat :P
