I was at Temple of Lyssa, when all of a sudden few people near my side suddenly got downed including me. Few seconds later the downed got simultaneously dead.

I checked the combat log and saw “Elite RIsen Plague Carrier hits you for 29,599 using Explode”, followed by damage armor log. But there was no other attacks in the log before that that would’ve caused instant down hits. This apparently was supposed to be “Unknown”, but it seems to no longer show Unknown in combat log, which would leave some players baffled, so I wonder what is up with that.

The unknown was actually a bug from what I understand. Apparently it’s been fixed now, so now the combat log correctly displays the damaged recieved, and where you recieved it from.

Except it didn’t show the damage log when the Elite Risen Plague Carrier initially hits. So it’s still a bug.

So I’m confused. The log shows that you took a large amount of damage from “Elite Risen Plague Carrier” and correctly displayed that information. But, it didn’t display the other damage that killed you?

Or was it that it only displayed the damage that killed you but didn’t display the damage that downed you?

This one. The Elite one hits for almost 30K damage, and only one “30K” damage was shown throughout the combat log for that event.

I’ve also seen this happen at Temple of Lyssa. I was suspicious about it not showing the unknown hits but I wasn’t 100% certain. That is until I showed up for Lyssa one day and was downed right off the bat. The last thing in the log that hit me was the high wizard at the gates of arah in cursed shores.

aaah ok gotcha. So it seems it’s not that it’s not showing “unknown hits for X damage” but that the damage isn’t even recorded.

If this is the case, I would suggest changing the title of this thread. The combat log isn’t suppose to show “Unknown”, it’s suppose to show what hit you and for how much, and it seeems that that part is working as intended. But the bug instead would be that some damaged received in certain events isn’t being recorded.
