I have to report two bugs, although I am sure many are already aware of them.

I went back to VB after a couple of months of doing other activities/maps, and decided to do the Ongoing Defense achievement while doing events to get more currency.

Apparently the event happens along the event that requires players to collect bomb scraps for the ordnance corps, so I tagged up and pushed the ordnance Corps event chain up to that point. I than tagged down and with 3 more players went to the closest tower, while the bulk of the group was doing the collect-event above us.

The tower-defense event did not trigger. I belive the reason is that the progress bar in the main event was too low. It could be that the bar needs to fill up to 50% at least (just speculating here) and than the defense event can happen. I than decided to go back to the camp and help with the main event, only to find out that the bug that prevents you from delivering the scraps to the npc, is still there! It has been there from launch day, and it is still there… it is possible to fix it by entering combat with one of the wasps nearby and than takling to the npc, but it doesn’t always work and most of the players will simply move on when they can’t progress.

With no hopes to fill the bar and no defense event happening I decided to stick around for the meta and try the achievement on the next cycle.

The next “day” I again helped with the ordnance corps events, built the towers, defended the outpost and than escorted Baroosh, the quaggan decided to get stuck before reaching the waypoint, therefor locking the whole event chain out.

It was a real letdown to go back to Verdant Brink and find out that these type of bugs still happen, after all this time. I wonder if the sylvari event is stil lbugged aswell…
