For the past two days, my 54th level Warrior who is camped at kitten has not been credited for completing the event. No big chest. No bonus chest.

She has done it without issue for the past few months, every morning, until the past few days.

Um.. last I knew.. You had to do damage.. a decent amount to get credit..

Personally i have the feeling that camping at events often just doesn’t work. Moving the character to another area and do an event there normally helps.

By camping, I just meant logged out there.

Every day, for several months, when it was time to do that event, I’d log her in, do the event (banners, for great justice, attacking, everything I usually do, I don’t just stand around), and I’d get credit for the event, the big chest, the little chest.

The last 2 days, I’ve gotten nothing. It’s not registering that I’ve participated.

I know what you meant. It happened to me also 2-3 times when i did exactly that.

However i never had a problem when i killed Shatterer and after that some other Boss and after that again Shatterer.

It also didn’t happend always .. before Megaserver i also managed to kill him on one server directly before reset and killed him again directly after that on another server with the same char and got chest for both.

I have similar problem. I did karaka queen on my guardian, i’ll get the ground chest and bonus chest. If I try karaka queen again, on my warrior, I won’t get the ground chest.

And base on what people says bonus chest is account bound but ground chest is character bound.

Base on what people says, the problem might be diminishing return, dont’ log your character out at the event area, and see if that helps. If you check older post, the problem have been there for a year.

This no credit bug has popped up from time to time. I believe the cure is to leave the zone where the boss spawns and then go back into the zone. Sometimes your character gets “stuck” with regard to event participation status and the only way to clear it is to leave the map (and thus abandon your current events on the map).

I tried going to my server’s borderlands in WvW and then logged out to character screen and back into blazeridge, which is technically zoning, and that didn’t work. I got credit for the event (and maybe did the other two times, don’t remember now), but no big chest and no bonus chest. I tried zoning to Iron Marches and back. The chest icon was still there, but no chest (or bonus).

I ran up to the camp/waypoint and logged out there. I’ll try again the next time to see what happens (now that I have an Iron Marches zone under my belt, assuming the WvW zone wasn’t good enough).

I made my comment, someone else commented they didn’t see the chest, though I didn’t think anything of it, as often times people make that comment and then upon thinking about it, realized they actually did it ‘last night’ after a reset and just forgot. Mine is clearly not the case.

12 pm PST – This time I got it, and the bonus. So one of two things happened.

1. The second zone to Iron Marches worked, and the first ‘zone to your borderlands’ wasn’t good enough.

2. I came in at 12:05, and was clearly in an overflow. We got started late, and if I was doing at my regularly scheduled time in the morning, would have totally missed Jungle Wurm (not a huge fan of how close these are packed together, or maybe how long that kitten pre takes, but I digress, for a different topic). I also decided to help break a crystal behind me. So either the reduced amount of people participating, or the extra crystal help, made me a candidate.

I’ll try again tomorrow, should be on the main server, and will report back. Hopefully it’s really as simple as walking to Iron Marches and back to reset it.

Karka Queen is an exception to typical loot rules.

A couple months before megaserver hit, it was stealth nerfed to be once per day per account on both chests. A lot of people griped on the forums.

I used to alt farm the ground chest – all it took was a party of 3-5 to do the pre-events, and TC would always respond with a full force zerg at all times of the day.

After the nerf, it became incredibly difficult to even kill the Queen in time outside of prime hours after reset – no one cared to do it again as they wouldn’t get a chest again.

Worked this morning, but I played a bit differently, standing down with a commander at the ‘double hit’ place under the dragon and using my axes.

I’ll try again tomorrow completely back to how I used to do it, on the side with my rifle, and see what happens.

Could very well have just been needing to literally walk out of the zone and back?

I walked out to Iron Marches and back, and will try to remember to attempt the next window at noon (my time) and report back.

Never used to have this problem. While this character is relatively new at being ‘responsible’ for that world boss, I had another character there since as long as I can remember, and her job was to login during the appropriate event window (when we used to have dynamic timers) and take care of kitten. She sat there for months and did nothing but that, and never had to leave the zone or anything like that.

Edit: That worked. So it looks like the only way to be sure, whether it’s that character or just something about the game now, is to run up the cliff behind me and zone into Iron Marches each day.
