Hey,

So I know there have been all kinds of posts over time from people about FPS issues but in the last couple of months I have been struggling with one myself and I recently realized it only really happens when I play GW2. I have tried reinstalling drivers, making sure that my laptop uses the Nvidia GeForce 670MX and not integrated graphics. I have even reinstalled windows and tried disabling my Razer Synapse (which when it switches games displays this little green text on bottom right of desktop which I figured that full screen games might not work well with) Basically I have tried all kinds of things and read if other people have the same problem. Now I am going to try and describe simple what happens in my case:

As I would be playing, I get my usual 60fps with vsync on (or higher when vsync is off) and then all of a sudden I wouldn’t even be in an area where there is a lot of stuff going on my screen and my screen would stop on one frame and then begin to stutter repeating the last couple of frames over and over again until I tab out or press the Windows key. Then I would reopen my window and the game would now no longer run at that silky smooth 60fps but instead at 20-30fps. I really only started getting this issue on this computer after February I believe it was. Sometimes I would have play entire sessions where it wouldn’t happen but then sometimes it happens within the first couple of minutes. The only temporary fix I have found is to restart my computer because once I relaunch the game (or any other game for that matter) the FPS goes to 20-30. It doesn’t matter if I was playing Warframe, Guild Wars 2, Borderlands or whatever else. Once my FPS shoots down because of this GW2 issue it’s game over and I have to restart my PC.

At this point I am close to getting a new PC soon so I can live with this issue but posting on the forums is kind of a last resort in hopes that maybe somebody else out there would have had this issue at some point and maybe he/she would have a fix for it. Would really appreciate any advice you guys could give me!

Regards,
Krion
