What might have happened to you happened to me a few weeks ago. We had just finished the majority of Straits of Devastation all the way up to the way into Malchor’s Leap. Got dumped to my desktop and when I finally reentered the game, I was all the way back to the Cathedral and none of the map I just opened was available to me any longer.
What I found out was I got rolled back due to a server glitch and lost not only all that ground, but xp, boss fight w/chest rewards, a few vets and some harvesting nodes. Others in my party also had similar problems.
We had to replay the entire area but never regained lost rewards or the xp for the daily until completed the route again. Was extremely frustrating for us. Server glitches have caused a lot of folks some great gear, weapons and in some cases, even gold and exotics.
I wonder if you fell into a small glitch where you were rolled back to just prior to obtaining your ticket for the gloves? Only way to tell that if you are on the Fire and Frost runs, is check to see if they are completed or not. If not you will have to repeat them as I don’t think Anet will give anything back to you that you had earned.
