immobilize and root
This is not a bug, doesn’t belong to bug section.
Besides, if you’re ranged and get immo, you can still attack to an enemy on ranged or on melee range. If you’re melee and get immo, you can attack an enemy in melee range but not on ranged. Nothing to fix there imo.
If it happens to you while facing the wrong direction… You will not be able to turn and attack anything including the roots. You are ranged and built to stay that equator het stuck there for the duration. And many skills will fail without without the target in front of them even if it includes a secondary mechanic.
What about the bug of this immobilisation plant that last 7sec that you are said to be able to destroy to get free BUT if you ever jump while it s casted on you then you are STUCK IN THE AIR with no way to destroy it as you are bug like. Then 7sec is enough long to die in this bug jumping immobilisation estate.
Immobilize as a mechanic can be annoying to all classes, and I feel that regardless of how annoying it is to get immobilized, it is completely working as intended.
Binding roots, on the other hand is completely broken.
The roots will continue to immobilize you until they are destroyed (which is an okay mechanic in itself… but when combined with the immobilization, sometimes you can do literally nothing).
On a ranged weapon, you are most-likely not going to get anywhere using anything but ground-targeted attacks to destroy roots immobilizing you… that is just OK for the most part.
The problem arises with the root placement.
If the roots are slightly behind you when you get immobilized, you might not be able to hit them at all with a ranged weapon… Some melee weapons/attacks have the same issue and are even worse when it comes to attempting to destroy the roots.
At very least, you should be able to rotate in place when immobilized in order to be able to attack the roots.
Another issue is getting rooted at the surface of the water.
GG.
You have no skillbar on the very surface of any body of water, and therefore are stuck for the duration of the binding roots.
The idea behind binding roots is “You are immobilized until you destroy the roots” not
“you have a 50% chance of getting permanently immobilized for 30 seconds,” and I agree it needs a fix.
