Graphical Flicker - Mac OS X Yosemite
Here are some of my CPU stats, if that’s helpful:
————————————————————————————————
MacBook Pro (Retina, Mid 2012)
Processor: 2.7 GHz Intel Core i7
Memory: 16 GB 1600 MHz DDR3
Graphics: NVIDIA GeForce GT 650M 1024 MB
I think this problem is due to heavy graphics load, no relationship to how long you play. It may happen within 3 mins in wvw, etom or dynamic events.
Therefore the only thing I’ve been doing after Yosemite upgrade is map exploration by new characters, gathering and crafting
, although spvp is still playable, but it isn’t MCOT.

BTW, I believe that I was able to fix the problem (or at least find a work-around). I only get the issue when playing the game ‘windowed’. If I take it fullscreen, the problems disappear. Hope this helps someone else with the same problem.

So, to bring this back up, I’m still having the issue. I am able to narrow down why this happens… or at least when.
It seems as though the issue only happens when my graphics card switches settings. This typically happens when I hook up an external monitor. It has trouble when using one and it switches to this. Alternatively, it doesn’t have issues when running with just the laptop monitor. Graphics settings here.
Would still really like this bug fixed as I’m almost always using an external monitor. Thanks!
