Please submit a ticket, this issue is literally making me ill and it can only help our cause if more speak out about it. Am told there’s a free black lion key today on the tp, if I fail to get it thanks to this awful broken tp I will be angry. Safest bet to avoid having to restart the system is to play minimised when you try the tp, at least there you can kill the game if the worst happens.

Requires a restart to relaunch – Activity Monitor doesn’t show GW2 running. Happened twice two days ago and today it crashed right after character select. I went to this forum to read up on it and my Mac Pro froze…not sure if it’s related, but I had to hard shutdown. Sept. 13 was the first time I’ve had an issue with the client. I had, until then, played without issue, even after the Sept update.

Please advise. I’ve been enjoying the Mac client; I hope this is fixed relatively quickly. Thanks!

Hi guys! Ive been experiencing a LOT of gamecrashes, but only in WvW! -1217 is the gamecrash code -i think- will adjust it if incorrect once it happens again -give it half an hour, tops.- im running the game on normal settings, playing on a mac pro 4.1

specs:
2 × 2.26 GHz quad-core intel Xeon
8 GB 1066 DDR 3 memory
ATI radeon HD 4870
OS 10.9.4

I fall into the group that is not having crash issues relating to the TP.

However, I do experience the previously reported (in multiple threads) “serious error” issues multiple times a day. Everything was fine before the patch and now the game is almost unplayable.

I crash in any remotely large fight. So that means right now: no Tequatl, no Dry Top farming, no World bosses, no Wvw. I used to get around it if a guildie called Target and I fought facing sideways… so that my screen didn’t show the majority of the fight. But that’s not working anymore, and it was a ridiculous solution in the first place.

What’s left? Crafting? I play GW2 for the crafting… said no one, ever.

Game crashes and won’t reopen — have to go to Activity Monitor to quit all GW2 and wine server processes by hand. (A heartfelt thank you to the fellow Mac user who suggested that work around, before I had to restart my computer to get it to work.)

New issues for the past few days.

1. My FPS has started dropping down to single digits. It’s as bad as it was during the Marionette event. This happens in giant battles, but also just roaming around LA when it’s not even that busy. It also happens in dungeons and fractals. Before someone asks, my graphics are already on low. And frankly, I’m tired of walking around and watching everything get redrawn in front of me all the time. Very tired of that generic pink figure that shows up when your graphics are on low.

2. My loading screens are getting messed up. It’s like I arrive at the location, but the loading screen is stuck. I hear the world around me… I also see character and npc names, superimposed over my loading screen, that start repeating over and over… in a little trail across my screen. It’s weird. Sometimes going to another wp will fix it. A few minutes ago that didn’t even work. I had to quit the whole game.

3. Occasionally, for some unknown reason, my graphics become completely messed up, everything turns into giant geometric shapes, obscuring everything around them.

4. I’ve been unable to submit a “support” ticket. The send command is greyed out.

After maybe 100+ crashes in 2days from the tp there seems to be some respite, what I did was set that coherent.exe file to open with Guild wars 2 and after that I’ve had just 1 failed tp load but at most 1 crash so it seems to have done something.

Well I’d say having being unable to do large scale events is worse than a broken tp but then again what’s the use doing them if you can’t sell the loot lol. Anyway that marionette was easily the worst thing that I ever experienced in GW2 battle wise, worst part is I didn’t get all the achievements… I was having some nasty latency pretty much since this month’s feature pack, again as with you not in busy places, worst was 2mins of being frozen, rather the game did just crash then at least Anet will get a report of the problem… It’s seemed to have cleared up after my tp has become reliable, first time since the update (Not including day one where it actually worked well so I had no clue this thing would grief me 2 weeks onwards)

Yes also thank the people who told us of activity monitor, sad to say I keep that thing on all the time now at least till the game, particularly the tp stops crashing on me. (The NULL error message has become frequent for me over the last week too)

Bad Maths Vector I get a lot since September Feature Pack. Mostly when I’m in Timberline Falls I’ve noticed. Guild Wars 2 client won’t restart after this error unless I either restart my Mac or I go into Activity Monitor and manually close the process from there.

Also get the SphereRadius thing but not as much as I used to.

after Sept 22nd’s patch my fps (which i was able to somehow fix) is back to its horrible glitches, happens after few mins of gameplay, if i use waypoints or if i alt+tab.

My tp problems also have reemerged. 2 weeks is very unacceptable for problems not to be fixed.

If any of y’all have sent in tickets and have not gotten a reply from myself or someone else in Tech Support, please PM me with the email address you used to submit the ticket. Once I have that info, I can check to see why your ticket was never received by us.

Also, has anyone had any success with using the workaround that Yifang posted above? I would like to get feedback on this so I can pass it along to the dev team.

Yesterday, before the patch, I started crashing in dungeons, my last safe haven in this game. Happened twice in AC. Then, I started getting messages about not connecting to the login server later in the evening. Immediately afterwards I completely froze up in HoW… the game didn’t crash, it just froze… unresponsiveness that wouldn’t resolve for several minutes. I had to force quit to rejoin my party.

This is beyond ridiculous.

The Technical Support responses on this thread have been subpar. I read through things again a few minutes ago, it truly feels like you’re hoping we’ll figure this out on our own and post a fix.

Forget the support tickets, there are more people having problems out there then there are people filing tickets… tickets which may or may not even make it through to you guys to address. And only the most disgruntled and frustrated will ever make it to these boards to complain.

These are not operator errors. Do you seriously expect to have a one-on-one conversation with every single person out there on the Mac client? That’s ridiculous.

It’s been two weeks. Fix it.

Hi, I just dropped in to say that tickets are really important to us – they are one of the ways the dev team is able to get more detail about an issue and allow us to run down a fix. We appreciate the time people take to fill them out, so thank you for that.

I had a BUNCH of client-got-disconnected-from-server problems happen over the last weekend, mostly (if not completely) while doing EotM or WvW. Super irritating. I realize this isn’t horribly helpful, and I would like to help the team find and fix whatever is going wrong. If/when this happens to me again, should I open a support request from within the GW2 client app? Or what exactly should I do to be helping here?

That workaround’s not much use now for me since yesterday but would like to know if it helped anyone else at all. Quite simply my worst month by far with this game or any game I’ve played. However, closing my browser so far has allowed the tp to run every time and the game itself runs better. Hopefully I’ve found my solution.

Tried my first world boss tonight (jungle wurm), issue is still there… crashed a few seconds in… processes left running, game won’t restart until I used Activity monitor to force quit GW2 and wine server. Still no fix and it’s mid-October? Really? What’s the hold up?
