Nothing after click 'Play' from launcher
I’ve just noticed the error message on the cider client reads ‘invalid fullscreen drawable’
Using the MAC BETA
Getting a blank screen after I logged in and clicked play.
I can see a window and my mouse will turn into a hand or arrow, but I cant see anything else.
I deleted the whole game, reinstalled it and rebooted the comp.
still have the same issue.
Is this a known issue?
Is it a easy fix?
Kotcha, can you play in windowed mode (press cmd + return)? I suggest you send a ticket to Anet. Good luck!
I am also having the same problem as Kotcha, in which the game will launch and nothing will happen besides seeing a slightly distorted version of my desktop and a box where the launcher would be.
I tried full screening the game from there in the windows tab at the top of the screen, but it only lead to what others have been having a problem with, a black screen with the arrow or hand for a mouse icon. I assme these two problems are both steming from the same issue.
The Support team were really helpful, they sent me these steps to solve the problem:
1 Click on the “Finder” icon located in your dock or the desktop of your computer to make “Finder” the active program in the finder menu bar.
2 Hold down the “Option” key on your keyboard while clicking “Go” in the finder menu bar. A dropdown will appear.
3 While still holding down the “Option” key, click on “Library” in the “Go” dropdown.
4 Once in the Library folder click on Application Support > Guild Wars 2
5 Move the entire Guild Wars 2 folder to the trash and then empty the trash.
The next time you launch Guild Wars 2 it will recreate the recently deleted folder.
Please launch Guild Wars 2 and see if you are able to log in and play without issues.
Hope it works for you
Thanks JoeN! That worked for me.
Hi can you please help i got same issue but i fall off from step 2 JoeNs guide. Where do you see the Go button or icon or whatever it is? My is in danish so when i go into this “Application support” there is just other programs like graphs, bootcamp assistent and such. What do i do?
Mayu:
Open Finder, it’s the 5th option in your menu bar at the top of the screen. Make sure to follow the steps exactly as described above..
It’s really frustrating that we’ve had to explain how to fix errors like this to the community. Isn’t ANet supposed to have a Mac Client support team? You would think so since that’s what the thread claims and yet I haven’t seen a single mod post in here for months.
